  1. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

Thanks. Yes, that is quite of a drop with the grille guard on.
  2. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

Thanks, good point about the knee crusher. I might end up painting the bracket red (like some other cars have their recovery hooks painted) if that seems to be too much of a concern. I will probably have to see how much it sticks out and how visible it is to decide. Have a good trip down to FL...
  3. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

Thanks, so 43.8 mpg to 36.7 mpg minus the loss of the under body shield (~1mpg), so probably about a 6 mpg loss due to the guard. You are right, that is not a small loss. I am thinking that maybe I will just take the guard off for the off-(deer)-season and just put it back on for the season...
  4. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

Thanks, that is good to know. How much mpg did you lose? Do you have any rough estimated figures of that loss? It must be quite substantial if you are considering switching it out seasonally (it seems to be quite a pain to install). :-)
  5. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

Hah, you are right, it is definitely ugly. I was always more of a "functionality over form" guy, hence I am still considering it, but haven't made up my mind yet. There are definite cons like - its ugliness - it seems rather complicated to install - still not convinced how strong its...
  6. Steelcraft HD Grille Guard - has anyone tried it yet?

Found this 2022-2024 Ford Maverick Grille Guard on the web: https://steelcraftautomotive.com/i-30498907-hd-grille-guard-semi-gloss-black.html and https://realtruck.com/p/steelcraft-hd-grille-guard/stc-50-1460c/ Has anyone tried it yet? Theoretically it supports all Maverick models, including...
  7. The REAL HYBRID MPG

Mpg for the first 2400 miles of my 2023 XL Hybrid. This is with 60% highway driving (65-70mph, highways are somewhat hilly with occasional congestion - both helps with mpgs) no AC, temps are in the 70-80s. Screenshot is from Fuelio showin mpg at each refueling (alias the mpg is measured at the...
  8. Strobing LED Brake lights

Take a look at the video of this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GTHB262/ref=cm_sw_r_api_i_ESARQSCGW1R1CGEB2DB7_0 3 quick flashes, followed by 3 slow pulses and then steadily on. For the third brake light on a Maverick, I could see this being useful and not too much of a distraction for people...
  9. How is Ford even in business? Ford Accessories Website

Hey @Vols44, How do you use Pass Points on oemfordpart.com? It only gives me checkout options with a credit card. Thanks!
  10. ⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

I am sorry, but I have ordered the same unit and very clearly the instructions (both on the device and in the attached instructions manual) states a warning against storing above 120F and NOT 150F. EDIT: on the bottle it states 120F. In the instructions in the "where to mount" section it also...
  11. ⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

I have ordered it too. Unfortunately once received it is clear, that the instructions warn against storage above 120F and NOT 150F as it was stated earlier.
  12. Installed Coverado Seat Covers in my Maverick XL

Did you order it in the end? Amazon still says that it will not fit the 2023 Maverick (but it will fit the 2022). I assume this might be just an issue with Amazon, as I can't imagine why it would fit the 2022, but not the 2023.
  13. ⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

My May 18th built hybrid is affected. Will the dealer be sitting on the vehicle until Q4 when (maybe) a remedy becomes available? That is about 6 months away! Will the dealer be financing the car sitting on its lot it can't sell for 6 months? That's a lot of money sitting there. I will be...
  14. ⚠️ Recall 23S27 & Delivery Hold on 2.5L Maverick Hybrids for Under Hood Fire (Notice Date 5/31/23)

Bummer, my hybrid's production date was May 18th - the last day covered by the recall. I guess this truck (prob I should no longer call it "mine") will be on delivery hold until Q4.
  15. Maybe Ford never intended to produce and sell a ton of Mavericks?

I think this was a strategical move by Ford - and a very good one in that - to defend its truck market. We all know that Ford makes a lot of money from its (large) trucks. We also know that trucks were getting more and more expensive, pricing more and more customers out the truck segment...
  16. 2023 Maverick Technical Specifications posted [PDF]

Yes, it really seems as nothing is changing from the 2022 model year, except obviously the addition of the Tremor package. It would have been nice to see the Hybrid AWD for sure.
  17. 2023 Maverick Technical Specifications posted [PDF]

I am not sure if others have realized, but it seems that Ford Co has published the 2023 Maverick Tech Specs when published the new Tremor package. See the Tech Specs at https://media.ford.com/content/dam/fordmedia/North America/US/product/2023/maverick/pdf/2023-Maverick-Tremor-tech-specs.pdf...
