  1. Hybrid Off-Road Trip Report From Colorado

Seems very capable for the price, and what the average person would be asking it to do. I would have seriously considered the Hybrid and doing without AWD, but I need the 4k towing package for pulling a bout around. It's the perfect small truck if you dont need to pull anything.
  2. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

Quality doesn't scare me as much when I factor in price. My Ridgeline cost about 42k MSRP. That was for a mid tier package (RTL). My XLT will be solid 12k cheaper. If I were comparing those two I would splurge 2k on a good extended warranty and still save 10k and be worry free about quality...
  3. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

Having left an F-150 I can attest to this. Ridgeline is considerably smaller, drives/handles like a much smaller vehicle. As I mentioned one of the downsides of the Ridgeline the gas mileage was only slightly better than my f-150, which is one of the primary things pushing me to the Mav.
  4. Hot Climate: BAK Industries tri fold vs rollup

I'll have to contact them when my truck is here. If it's true that there is no more.felt and heat resistance, I much prefer the rollup cover over the tri fold.
  5. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

I heard from another Ridgeline owner I know and he said he was getting close to 30 as well average.
  6. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

I've owned 2 F-150s. The 2018 Coyote 5.0 V8 was fantastic for over 50k miles, zero issues. Had a TSB for build window of my 2016 small Ecoboost engine f-150. All cylinders heads had to be pulled, then the left turbo went out. The whole time warranty was fantastic and no gruff from the dealer...
  7. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

I wish 360 came came with adaptive cruise control on the XLT. I was not willing to pay lariat price to get that feature. Since it was so bad on the honda, I'm used to not using it
  8. How accurate is estimated delivery date range?

Mine is supposed to go into production 01 August. Is Ford fairly timely on sending update emails? I get the feeling my dealer is hoping I don't pick up the truck bc I have had zero communication since order placed. When I showed up in person after I got the VIN and build date they seemed...
  9. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

I forgot to mention this quirk, as I have experienced it myself and read many complaints on the Ridgeline forum. For those that like good lumbar support, the seat is terrible. You have to engage the lumbar support all the way up and it's still mild support level. Also, whatever they use to...
  10. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

I would disagree on one piece of this. For a mid -size truck it drives nicer, parks nicer, rides nicer and has amazing trunk storage. So if you want a mid size truck but want the drive experience if a nice SUV, it's now the only thing in the market. This is where is believe Honda his milked it...
  11. Hot Climate: BAK Industries tri fold vs rollup

I wanted to share my past experiences with this company. I see a lot of people on here ordering the roll up type cover with the aluminum slats. I live in FL which means hot/humid climate. I loved the convenience of the roll up cover. It's easier to roll up with one hand vs the tri fold. For me...
  12. Why I am leaving the Ridgeline

Current Ride: 2022 Honda Ridgeline RTL (13k miles) On Order: XLT 2.0 Lux, Tow, 360, AWD. Hope this helps someone considering both vehicles: Bottom Line Up Front: I'll take the cheaper Mav with upgraded safety tech, lower price, and better fuel economy. Plus it looks better too. Ordered the...
  13. Have a build date for 8/29 I think

There is almost too much information on this site to fuss over. I put the order in the back of my mind and largely forgot about it. Didnt start reading this forum until I got my scheduled for production email earlier this month.
  14. Have a build date for 8/29 I think

I'm scheduled for 01 August. Have VIN, no window sticker.
  15. Options for mud flaps?

Are these mainly to protect paint? Vehicles behind you? Both? Was thinking bout adding them bc I tow a boat and if I kick up a rock it will be going right towards the hull.
  16. Fit 2 infant/toddler car seats in back seat?

This good info. Have first kid on the way and this was one of the concerns I had about trading my Ridgeline for a Maverick. Wife has a spacious SUV, so the Mav would be backup family car anyway.
  17. Towing a boat with Maverick?

My total boat/trailer loaded weight is around 2500 lbs max. Currently tow it with a Ridgeline no problem. The folks that build the boats use a old Ford ranger as a shop truck to take the boats for wet testing with no issues. Get about 16mpg highway on the Ridgeline towing the boat. Curious how...
  18. Additional Delivery Questions after research

I am also going to get trade in quotes from Honda and probably Carvana for the Ridgeline. The whole point of this vehicle swap is to save money, and for that to work I need to get a good price for the Ridgeline. I'd also hate to not take delivery and see them turn around and mark up the price...
  19. Additional Delivery Questions after research

Been doing a lot of research on this forum and it's been super informative.. I'm playing catch up bc I ordered my truck in early November and largely forgot about it until a recent email from Ford stated I had a build date of 01 August. Here are some additional things I'm looking to pull some...
  20. New member.

Hi, XLT 2.0 on order in Florida. Received email recently with a VIN and build date of 01 August. Original order placed early November 2021. Downsized from a 2018 5.0 F-150 4x4 to a 2022 Honda Ridgeline RTL. The goal is downside even further with the maverick, which can still pull my 18 foot...
