I’m wondering if there are potential legal implications if they don’t. If a company promotes a specific product at a price, acknowledges orders, keeps customers waiting for a year then cancels the agreement without rolling it over wouldn’t the Federal Trade Commission consider it false advertising?

I can’t believe that there is no other source, inside or outside of Ford that is capable of supplying Ford with a hitch to Maverick specifications. It’s just a hitch!

Exactly! I’m not sure what the contracts and red tape involve but if Ford had put out specs requesting a 2 month supply of hitches I’m sure there must be a warehouse or factory that could supply them. Not everyone orders a hitch.

I checked a couple months ago in my state, and only found one ‘22 being sold by any dealer. It was an XL with 5,000 miles for $39,995, which seemed insane. I imagine they were counting on one person out there that didn’t want to wait.

I also ordered in Atlas Blue as I love that color. With 86,000+ ordered and production capacity at 10,000 month, who knows where I will be in that 9 month range.
