I have one on my truck, and have installed literally thousands of them at the dealership I work at. They work well and install easily. If you don't mind carry a separate one button key fob you can extend the range quite a bit with the antenna add on.
I put some headrests in my truck from a 22 Mustang. They're the ratcheting adjustable kind. It matches my XL interior really well. The only difference is the stitching from the mustang is a little different, but hardly noticeable.
I have the same issue with my truck. My battery drain test shows .01 -.02 ah draw at rest, which is well within spec yet I regularly get deep sleep notifications and had to jump the vehicle twice in one week. Is there something you can check with my VIN?
Is the fuse blowing immediately when you press the switch? If so, I would check your wiring. It sounds like you either have a short or the switch is wired up wrong. The motor shouldn't be a very high amp draw.
I also had the windshield "ticking" sound coming from the lower right corner. I had the windshield removed and resealed. That fixed it for a little while, unfortunately it shifted the noise to the lower left side of the windshield:cautious:
I used a couple of blue size speaker spades to make the motor connection.

I installed the Katzkin seat heaters in my truck. They were kind of a pain to install because of the amount of hog ring attachment points inside the seat cushions. It's definitely doable though if you're handy. The thing I like about it most is that it takes the edge off the cold during the...
What you need is KN1Z-19A361-A. The antenna your wanting to install only extends the range of the single button FOB that is another add on. The part number for that is JS7Z-15K601-C. It installs very easily behind your OBD2 port. It will not affect your factory remote start.
I can confirm the update fixed the brake issue for me. Last night I took the family through a very popular neighborhood to see the Christmas light displays. We were in stop and go traffic, almost all of which was below 6 mph, for almost 2 hours. I didn't get a single brake grab the whole time...
I have done a few things to mine as well, none of which involved the ABS module. I don't think it's anything to worry about. In my experience dealers aren't just looking for a reason to invalidate a warranty claim.
