  1. Hybrid vs EcoBoost in Canadian winters

I'm in Eastern Canada and we picked up our Maverick Hybrid last October. We purchased 4 Winter Studded tires on some Black FX4 wheels and the truck did awesome last winter. My wife drove it to work most of the time and we averaged about 7L per 100km for the entire winter which included letting...
  2. Waiting for shipping - anyone else?

Mine was built on August 26th and shipped on September 22nd to Eastern Canada. It arrived in Moncton New Brunswick around October 22nd and arrived at my dealer on October 25th. Once it ships dealer told me it takes about a month to get to the dealer up here in Canada.
  3. Hauling snowmobiles in the snow with my Hybrid

Studded Firestone Winterforce 2 winter tires.
  4. Hauling snowmobiles in the snow with my Hybrid

Finally got the chance to haul with my Maverick Hybrid today. I groom Fat Bike trails up here in Eastern Canada and haul 2 snowmobiles to our trail system. Maverick hauled both sleds without any issue and our trailhead parking lot was unplowed, so turned off traction control and the Maverick...
  5. My XLT Hybrid Unicorn has finally landed in Canada

Got built on August 26th, but for some reason it didn't ship from the factory until September 22nd and it showed up at my dealer in Eastern Canada on October 25th. They had told me it takes about a month to get to the dealership once it ships and it was pretty close to that in the end.
  6. Winter tires for FWD Hybrid Maverick?

I'm running 4 studded Firestone Winterforce 2 on my Hybrid to tackle our Eastern Canada Winters up here.
  7. CARBONIZED GRAY Maverick Photos Thread

I went with 4 studded Firestone Winterforce 2 tires for the winter. I like the look of the FX4 wheels, I'm currently debating if I'll switch the summer Continental tires and sensors to the FX4 wheels next spring and put the winter tires on the stock rims or if I'll keep the stock setup for...
  8. CARBONIZED GRAY Maverick Photos Thread

My Carbonized Grey XLT Hybrid with some Black FX4 wheels and Winter tires.
  9. Hybrid in cold climate

No issue with our Maverick Hybrid up here in Eastern Canada. Heater works just like our other vehicles and no issue with lack of heat.
  10. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

Been using a Thule T2 to haul our bikes but finally got our setup to carry our 3 Fat Bikes in the box during the winter months to try and keep some road salt off them.
  11. Hybrid/ Max Heat and Electric Mode observation

If I turn off Max Heat and just leave the heat on it will go Electric no problem. Next time I drive I will try and leave Max Heat on and turn down the fan and see if that makes a difference. I can't remember if it will leave Max Heat on if I turn the fan down, but I believe it will.
  12. Hybrid/ Max Heat and Electric Mode observation

Has anybody that live in a colder climate notice a drop in full electric when having heater on Max? We picked up out Maverick XLT Hybrid up here in Eastern Canada at the end of October and we are really enjoying it. We’ve put just over 2800km/1700 miles on it. As the weather has gotten colder...
  13. Finance Rates - Canada

When I ordered our Maverick Hybrid back in November 2011, the interest rate to finance for 60 months was 3.49. When I picked up our truck on October 28th, interest rates for 60 months had gone up to 4.49 but we were locked in to 3.49 from back in November 2021. Looking at the Ford website, it...
  14. Ranger to a Maverick

During the week my wife is the primary driver to commute to work since I work from home. Her commute is 18km/11 miles each way and consist of a mixture of city/highway driving and she usually gets between 8 and 8.5km on All Electric each way. So on her 36km commute each day, she is getting about...
  15. Ranger to a Maverick

My dad has had a new Hot Pepper Red Ranger for a few years. Really nice truck but as you said they are quite big. I see you ordered Hot Pepper Red for your Maverick, I almost went with that color but figured I'd go with something different since my dad already had that color in his Ranger LOL
  16. This happened this morning: BUILT!

That's cutting it close for a First Edition. Glad it finally got built, better later than never I guess.
  17. Maverick crashes through building

One of my co-worker lives in that town and he figures he was carrying a lot of speed. This is an old street view picture of the building when it had windows, but the X is roughly where he hit. There isn't much space between the building and the intersection so he may have the curb and went...
  18. Maverick crashes through building

My dad has been a Ford salesman for over 40 years so I don't really have a choice LOL
  19. Ranger to a Maverick

Who else went from a Ranger to a Maverick? I had a couple of Ford Rangers from 1998 to 2009. When our daughter was born in 2008, the Ranger was no longer practical for us, so I decided to get rid of it and replace it with a Ford Flex which was a much more suitable family vehicle. I enjoyed our...
