Here's my latest, after dealer replaced the hard roll up with exactly what looks to be the same, Ford logo and all. After two months, in the sun, I've had NO PROBLEM whatsoever. The glue now being used must be something different, and can withstand the temperature without melting. Thank you...
Anybody have a problem with the glue which is laminating the felt on the sides of the cover melting, only to find a gooey mess and the felt delaminated and flopping in the bed? Ford Accessory is giving me a runaround trying to get a warranty repair.
My dealer in Los Angeles said ~90% were hybrids and they were expecting to get a total allocation of about 30% of the total orders taken, but added Ford said it could change. (Edited for clarity)
Just adding my two cents ... in my case I made no changes to my order, and MSRP sticker was generated at the new higher rate at scheduling. The Ford folks removed the bed divider kit. -- who knows if that triggered the new price.
Agreed.
My dealer tells me Ford will be honoring the original price and Ford will send them the difference (I've heard in a dealer bi-weekly statement credit(and in about 60 days the dealer will mail me a check.
Who really knows what the real story is. Meantime, I'll be paying higher State...
I can tell you that I've the signed order spec with a price guarantee that was from late September 2021 and the sticker just published into production on Ford order site at $1,680 higher. Will be interesting to see how the dealer makes an adjustment.
I'm betting dealers will be more often asking for at least a refundable deposit to show you are committed to a purchase; given the threat of allocation reductions, if a dealer exceeds a higher percentage of name match rule violations.
