Picked up my new 2023 Maverick yesterday with 13 miles on it from the dealer! Asked the dealer not to wash the vehicle, so the rims are in mint condition with no scratches (just a little dirty). Am including the TPMS as well. Located in San Jose CA. Will be driving up to Montana to see family...
What’s your avg hourly rate driving for Uber/Lyft with the Maverick? I figured the hybrid would be a good vehicle to do such in. For a $24k investment, your overhead is quite low and the vehicle will experience very little depreciation over the next couple of years. People in my area can bring...
Wanted to provide an update on the truck. I added the Cobb Accessport and am running the 91 and TCM Sport tune. The power difference is quite noticeable even with my bigger tires. Very little turbo lag and power is effortless once up to speed—very enjoyable driving in the mountains.

Just to bump this thread, still loving the vehicle/camper! GFC used my vehicle yesterday to test fit their topper. Looks clean! Panels are raw and not powder coated, but it flows very nicely with the rest of the vehicle.
That’s why “reports” like this are comical. No way EB owners aren’t just as satisfied as hybrid owners. I have averaged close to 30 MPG with the EB. I live at nearly 5k feet and the Mav’s AWD handles ice/snow better than my other vehicles that costs 3-4 times more. The Mav has been my go to...
No West Coast trips planned to CA, OR, or WA. Will be heading to CO, TX, then to FL over the next couple of weeks. So if you are somewhere along the route, let me know.
I don’t think it’s an age thing. A lot of GFC owners tend to be older. I just think for those that don’t see the value of this set up, it doesn’t fit their lifestyle, which there is nothing wrong with. Very few products are made for everyone. So yes, it still checks the box for old codgers. You...
It’s not compelling because you don’t live a lifestyle where it makes sense. Again, it’s not for everybody.
Life isn’t always about saving money. We all make purchases which could be deemed as a waste from another person’s point of view. Also, nearly every topper on the market for the Maverick...
My camper out the door was $8225. The camper is more than a tent. It’s a fully enclosed area to store my gear and use it for everyday stuff that fits my lifestyle. I can put 500 lbs on the roof when closed. I can strap kayaks, snowboards, skis, fly rod boxes, and even hang an awning from the...
