I have this same Fitcamx brand on my son's Corolla. That install was even easier since there was a plug that you tap into right at the base of the rear view mirror. If you have rain sensors on your Maverick, it is the same, you won't have to route any wires. It will piggyback on the rain...
The install was not "easy," but it wasn't difficult either. It did take some effort but in the end, I think it looks pretty good. Maverick is probably the smallest truck that this rack will fit.
I actually plan on using this as the top of my camper. But I thought I would install it on my bed first for those interested in the mounting and what it looks like.
I was pretty surprised with the fit. It can be more convenient than a tri fold soft cover, because I can roll it up and basically still use the bed as normal. I often had to fully remove my previous tri fold cover when hauling large items.

Upgraded my carplay to this Ai box. It is almost like having an android tablet on your dash. Kinda cool if you like gadgets. Maybe overkill if you like to keep things simple.
Well I have made some progress on my custom camper build. I was originally going to use a bed rack as the main frame, but I did not like the angle of my rack. So, I decided to just go with wood.
Here is an update on my progress.
I think it is still doable, but more effort than I was willing to do.
The plan was adjust the universal rack to a small size. Check.
Cut down the front so it won't extend so far. Doable but did not cut yet.
But.... the mounting plates started the problems.... Like I said, probably still...
