I'd rather have the full size spare. Planning on taking the car places where getting a new tire might take a long time. Wouldn't want to drive on a smaller wheel in non-ideal conditions for an extended period of time.
I suppose not, other than the fact that it's not as convenient. So pure laziness would be the only factor I guess. I'll see how that goes when it's time. I barely hit 800 total miles today.

1. The center hole for the FX4 style tire is a bit smaller than the donut spare. Bending the cables prior to inserting the metal tab works just fine (slightly rubs off the coating though)

You got an update for this? I'm looking to upgrade the donuts to a full size and trying to find the best option to get a matching wheel. From Ford I got a quote of 775 for the one wheel alone. A bit insane. I hate the donut, but not sure I hate it enough to replace it for $1k+.
