Honestly I only found your post because I was trying to see if anyone else put them in. Edit: It's not very hard, it was user error on my end.

I'd rather have the full size spare. Planning on taking the car places where getting a new tire might take a long time. Wouldn't want to drive on a smaller wheel in non-ideal conditions for an extended period of time.

You got an update for this? I'm looking to upgrade the donuts to a full size and trying to find the best option to get a matching wheel. From Ford I got a quote of 775 for the one wheel alone. A bit insane. I hate the donut, but not sure I hate it enough to replace it for $1k+.

Had the same issue. I added the 2 washers and now it works perfectly fine. No extra stank required.
