Yes, TSB 23-2060 fixed my grabby brakes, and I too had unusual wear on the rear rotors only with only 12.5K miles. The paperwork says they lightly sanded them down from 10.9 mm to 10.7, still in spec.
Iām relieved they got the grabby brakes issue resolved and now Iāll just have to keep an eye...
That's not very encouraging. When if ever does an issue like this qualify for pursuing legal action under the lemon law, or does Ford simply keep issuing TSB's to dodge that bullet?
Had maverick at dealership today for graping brakes.Last time in, install previous tsb and it didn't work. So they called ford and they told dealership to install electronic brake booster, which they ordered. So then tsb 23-2060 comes out. I set up another appointment and they install that tsb...
Update on above: after performing the first TSB actions and still having issues as I described above I called the dealer (who has been very responsive), and described my fix result and he says thereās another TSB issued February 28th. I have an appointment to have this done for the 28th of March...
Right. Both of your points confirm my dissatisfaction with the truck. The point of my post is to share my account of my TSB brake fix and the result, which is what this thread is all about.
But thanks for your input
My Story Update: 12,000 miles '22 Hybrid
So I told my dealer about the TSB fix for the brake issue this thread is all about and he said bring it in, and he acknowledged this TSB existed, thank you. They put it right up, and after a couple of hours (they respected the fact I had to drive an hour...
They have their hands so full of recalls (emustang battery fires) etc, I read a number 900,000 recalls, and now a class action suit because they knowingly sent out weak roof pillars that collapse when rolled over, they are a deeply troubled company mired in their own overreach to become the e...
Thatās good advice, but itās not a quirk you can perform on demand, so when I brought it in and took a little ride as you suggested, naturally I couldnāt make it happen. And when they put it through diagnostics everything checks out fine. And this is was at the dealer where the Ford āsocial...
Not blaming the dealerships but thereās been plenty of us sent to service departments with no result. Thereās even a Ford monitor on the thread that directs you to your clueless dealer, but not a peep out of ford that such a problem exists. Take a look over on that string, see how many people...
Those of us on the thread regarding lurching and grabbing brake issues in the hybrid probably think their issue is more worthy of a lawsuit if nothing else but to get Fords damn attention on this problem that they refuse to even acknowledge. Weāre talking faulty brakes there, probably fixed by a...
Iāve seen a lot of the Ford bot offers to help with the issue without anyone having gotten satisfaction, myself included. Maybe a class action lawsuit would get their attention, like the one being brought by law firm Hagens Berman for a lousy fix to a design flaw that is built into certain Ford...
The bike lying down flat on the bed? I tried that and I couldnāt lay it down so the weight was distributed across the floor, too much stress was on the fork as I recall but Iāll try againā¦Iād still prefer it standing butā¦
You again. Are you going to waste this guyās time sending him to his dealer where they find nothing wrong, like you did to me, or do you have a concrete solution to the problem weāve all been waiting for?

Judging by Fordās record in responding to this issue I wouldnāt bet on it
I read someone on jalopnik saying that across their product line they have 900,000 recalls issued so far this year. Iām guessing theyāre ahead of us in line?

I also used an ordinary 30 yo RhodeGear bike rack on the Fit, it never budged, always secure, there were places perfect for the clips. Itās useless on the truck unless I do some cutting into the liner to make spaces to place the hooks, and Iām not ready to do that yet. Plus my wife thinks it...
Addendum: that cubic footage in the XLT is with the tonneau cover closed so both measurements are rain protected cubic feet. Sorry for not making that clear.
Randaddio
Actually I came to my ā22 XLT hybrid from a 2013 Honda Fit and with appropriate measurements the Fit with the rear seats down has more cubic feet, I forget the numbers but Iāve used the limits in both and itās clear. However, Iām getting too old for the thrill of nearly getting squeezed off the...
