    No, this does not sound normal when it is happening from a dead start in first gear. As soon as I press on the gas pedal the rpm's immediately climb to approximately 3,000 rpm and then it drops back down as it shifts into 2nd and beyond.

    No, I'm not. I tried to accelerate very slow and it still did it. I'm 73 and not a hot rodder. lol

    I have a 2.0 Eco with 1,328 miles and just noticed that when taking off from a stop sign my RPMs will go up around 3,000 and then drop as I accelerate to 35 mph. Has anyone else experienced this? What is Ford saying about it?
