Does anyone else’s spare tire look like this?
It looks like this pointed bracket in front of the spare tire is actually into my tires tread.
It looks like it is holding air and not leaking but it looks pretty deep into my treads. I think that’s definitely a safety concern.
Don’t know why Ford...
I haven’t changed a thing.
I ordered an XLT hybrid - lux package - trifold bed cover - sun roof and rear sliding window. $28k and 40 mpg đź‘Ť
My goal was 30mpg minimum and under $30k
You are correct. Everything right now is way out of whack and prices are going up across the board.
If I was going to buy a new truck I would just put in a factory order and work with a dealer that won’t mark it up. Buying any vehicle now is crazy and hopefully things will start settling down...
I bought a second party from the dealer because it offered to cover more parts. However, after being in the service department many techs have told me almost all non manufacturer warranty will try to deny claims. If you buy factory warranty they are a little better but they always cost a lot...
Yea I know but it’s a true body on frame truck. Frame alone probably costs 5k and can tow a good amount. The maverick is mostly for an urban environment with fuel economy in mind and for people who won’t need a full or midsize truck.
My 04 f150 FX4 was $38k back then, today’s equivalent it...
I bought one for my current vehicle and most of the time they (warranty people )make excuses not to cover thing even thought my extended package covers every except brakes and shocks. IMO set that money aside for later repairs. This time I’m not buying one.
The Auto show will be in November for my area, but I think once somebody takes delivery your start see them at local car shows. Local dealers will only get 1 for training I think.
That works too but I’m not a fan. All I see is scratching form the cover and the wheels plus the extra pressure on your headset. Hitch mount (vertical or horizontal)or bed mount for me.
If you really need 4wd then just get a Ranger. After having a 4x4 truck for 15 years and a AWD suv for 4 years I realized it’s not really necessary unless your in a state with weather conditions, plan on towing, or going off/road. Plus AWD and 4x4 drivetrains cost more to maintain and get less...
I was never a fan of ambient lighting. However, I have it in my current suv and I like it. It’s a very light bluish white glow in the door handles, foot wells, bottom door pockets.
I ordered an XLT hybrid so I won’t get the ambient lighting but I could always add my own l8r on.
Kinda like me. My old job was only 4 miles away and I was sick for 6 months without driving at all. My 2017 Jeep GC only has 16,000 miles on it. My new job is 20 miles away so I’m kinda looking forward to this hybrid truck going from 16mpg to 40mpg.
I own a Thule T2 Pro XTR 2” receiver bike rack from my last truck, so I’ll be using that to have full use of the bed space.
With a 5 foot bed you have to turn the bike side ways to fit with the tailgate up.
This truck will require the front wheel off and the tailgate halfway down to fit a bike...
For now, I will stick with the stock tires as this (hybrid) will be my daily commuter on concrete. If I do upgrade down the road I'll be putting on Falken Wildpeaks AT3Ws. I prefer all terrains over all-season tires but this time I'm going for fuel economy.
Here's an example: My 2017 Jeep grand Cherokee has daytime running lights that run on the low beams. At night it's the same low beams that are used just like what we see in this picture above. It's kinda stupid that Ford went this way just to save money, but then again this is an entry vehicle...
That’s waaay too much for that size of bed.
I paid $1,600 for an ARE topper for my f150s 5’5” bed that had a light on the inside and bare fiberglass. I would only spend $1,600 - $2,000 on a topper today. I’ll just stick with the tri-fold tonneau for now.
