I Crashed into a new Mits Mirage and it was totaled. My Maverick didn't had a scratch! I hit it with my front tow hook LOL. Ford made our trucks pretty heavy duty.
My XLT FX4 has been solid so far. 11,000 miles on it. Only issue has been with the radio software, it is buggy but keep in mind that is fixable with updates.
The Santacruz drifts on dirt and it is AWD. I guess it has to do with power delivery. I've tried to put it sideways on mud and it just understeers. :-(
I guess it has lots of body roll and understeer right? I hate that we cannot drift the crap out of our mavericks because it just understeers like crazy
I got a fully loaded XLT and I dont think I'm missing a lot from the Lariat. The seats in the XLT are more comfortable IMO, I test drove a Lariat and the seats were too hard for my taste.
I dont think we will put our FX4's on a situation where we need those changes offered in the tremor package. Most of us are already larger in tire size and higher than that 1" offered in the tremor package. It is nice to have that rear diff but I dont think it will make so much of a difference.
I love the EcoBoost. And definetly get the 4k tow package and FX4. It has better cooling, better gear ratios. Even if you don't use it it is nice to have it. The mono-shock rear suspension in the FX4 is way better than the regular one in poorly maintained roads.
Happened to me. I bought mine from a dealer, I wanted a cactus grey until I saw it in direct sunlight, it was mint green (Horrible). Then I saw the Orange and looked like a yellow barbie beetle. Ended up getting mine in Velocity blue which was the only color that looked as expected.
There's a video on Youtube racing a FWD Eco vs an AWD Eco with 4KTowing. The AWD beat the crap out of the FWD but it was more related to the 4KTow gear ratio, not because of AWD.
I've seen a simple plug for 5 bucks and an adapter for almost 80. What difference does it makes? Can I just delete the recirculation tube to get my bov sound?
I use an old computer battery backup with the included 12 volt harness and I just connect it to the prewired DIY plug in the back and it works like a charm.
Thank god I Ignored it! I have the same recall pending. I have the 4K tow package but I really don't tow anything so It is staying like that until someone gives good feedback about it.
