So, finished up at the dealership. They traced it to the optional inverter for the cab. No reason why. They need to order a new part but is weeks out. It will be disconnected and the vehicle returned to me. Will wait for new part. Will update.

2500 miles on a 22’ xlt eco fx4. Noticed a high pitch noise then an strong electrical burning smell. Taking it to Ford. I will report back. Anyone else?
I’ll try to take a photo next time. I have 1800 hwy miles. my distance to empty on a full tank premium fuel is around 390-410. Again, all hwy. xlt, Fx4. Very light foot as I had an electric car and pedal mgmt is everything.

Mine has a quarter inch gap between the gate and the cover even though there is clearly an attempt to seal the gap from the cover. I agree with you. this gap is letting a lot of water in. Other’s thoughts?
