Have you done any tests on the Fram Ultra. I haven't seen any reviews that show the Wix XP as being superior to it.
I've used Fram ultras for over 10 years and Motorcraft for 20 years prior. Never had any oil or engine related issues either way.
There's only so much you can do in an automatic with no manual control. Brake torque, build up boost and put your boot on the floor.
And their times are also an average of several runs.
I bought a one way check valve off Amazon and some Dot 4 ATE fluid. I bled all 4 wheels and kept topping up the master cylinder. This was at the 3 year mark in my Civic and could not believe the difference in pedal feel. Definitely worth it for $30.
Im curious to see what sort of fuel mileage difference you see.
My Nokian winters on my Civic actually get as good or better mileage than my all seasons.
I plan on buying these if and when truck arrives.
Nokian is quite common in Canada but these are newly released with no reviews yet.

If you value performance above all else, it is absolutely worth it to run premium regardless of temp.
87 is fine for the average joe who cares less about 0 to 60 or balls to the wall acceleration. It will run just fine with no drivability issues.

The Toyota Yaris also has a 140 mph speedometer. Does anyone in their right mind think it will do it.
What about if and when Ford releases a tune with factory warranty that removes the governor. Should those people then have their 110mph speedo replaced.

In Canada, the Nokian brand is a go to tire for winter performance.
They have recently introduced a new line called Outpost AT and Outpost APT. Looks very interesting.
