My bringing up the recall seems to be confusing folks here. My hybrid has a complete loss of power when I turn it off. Likely the wire harness issue that’s well documented here, but I’m trying to be patient and let the techs do their job.
I had the appointment scheduled for the recall, but experienced the power loss issue the week before my appointment. They’ve been diagnosing the issue for the past five days.
This is what I typically do for scheduled maintenance. I don’t think they’ll let me sleep in the waiting room for a week while they try to diagnose an electrical issue.
Jim Farley had stated his the company needed to focus on controlling warranty and recall expenses. I would have assumed he...
For clarification, I’m not trying to claim Ford is legally obligated to do anything. I just think consumers should be aware the shortcomings of the warranty repair process. There was a lot of speculation here about Ford’s reputation for reliability, or lack thereof, prior to these things hitting...
It’s the recall for all hybrid Mavericks, where they remove some grille blinds and drill holes in the underbody shield. Here’s the language in the notice:
Ford already commits to covering $40 a day. I think they should commit to covering what a rental actually costs. For what it’s worth, the recent recall notice also mentions a loaner should be available for the duration of the repair.
Leaving it up to the dealer is a poor way of standing by your...
Please pardon my venting on here, but I’ve been riding the bus to work for the better part of a week now. The only local dealer is overstretched and booking out routine maintenance weeks and weeks in advance. I have a hybrid with power loss issues (which if this forum is anything to go by, this...
I think my truck has succumbed to this issue. Am I good to just jump start it every time I need to drive? Dealer claims they can’t even look at it til late next week.
@Hdang1980 Just wanted to express my appreciation for your posts here. Got my liners this week. Very similar to Weathertech liners I’ve had in the past, but at a much better price. Fit is perfect in my hybrid.
I’m familiar with the soft reset as I’ve had to do this after the freezing and audio cut out issues. Maybe I’ll try doing this more regularly to see if it alleviates the Bluetooth issues.
I understand that most automakers suck at infotainment, but I’m curious if my issues are common or unique to my truck. So far I’ve experienced:
Audio cutting out entirely 2x
Backup camera not opening, completely freezing infotainment 3x
Minor lag / skipping on backup camera on occasion...
Anyone in Bellingham want a fits kit or horse stall mat?
Fits kit includes cupholder, bag hooks, cordholder, and dividers. I’m keeping the waste bin.
Horse stall mat is the smaller option from Tractor Supply, 4’x3’, 1/2 inch thick. Doesn’t cover the whole bed obviously but it might be useful...
I suppose I’ll bump this old thread to thank you for the pictures. Are you still using these?
They’ll be on sale at Costco starting on the 9th. $24 for these vs ~$200 shipped for the real floor liners (which still don’t exist for us hybrid owners)
I’ve used the remote start on a handful of cold mornings so far and have not encountered this problem. Lowest it’s been is 20F and I usually wait until I feel a bit of warmth from the auto climate before turning on max defrost. I’d be nervous if I needed to leave it idling longer to defrost a...
Overall I’m happy with the experience. Payed MSRP and they made zero effort to upsell anything (extended warranties and such).
If you have a trade in I might suggest you shop around for offers before going in to the dealer. I feel like they slightly undervalued my trade in. For me the...
Hey, I know that truck!
Interesting, we have the exact same build, except I deleted the spray-in bedliner in the fall which apparently helped me skip ahead in production. My order was confirmed five days after yours from the same dealer.
I look forward to seeing yours at the trailhead!
