    Great post and so so relevant. I had no idea this was a thing "loss of value" but I always knew a vehicle in a fender bender may be reported to Carfax. This obviously would ding the resale value of a vehicle old and new. Thanks for the post.

    Absolutely correct!! No one prefers a vehicle with a Carfax ding. I would carefully document the repair with photos and everything you can to show it was repaired diligently and correctly.

    The assembly line workers in Dearborn are making 110k now. As a whole, the automakers will pass all of the labor wages on to the consumer. I agree, the workers in Mexico are definitely not making 90k a year. Ford still has to pass on the added cost of the US workers wage increase.

    Sue them and their insurance. I always ask the question, What if I or a loved one was sitting on a motorcycle when the texter hit me. Sue them and their insurance. Luckily the Mavericks are a little bit easier to find now. Sorry about the loss.

    That's just criminal! I would sue them. I've been rear ended twice and you''ll never recoup that loss. These texters need to start going to jail, they're as dangerous or worse than drunk drivers. Imagine if you were sitting on a motorcycle in traffic. So sorry for this, that is heart breaking.

    Sue them for pain and suffering and loss of value. I wish I would have, now I'm paying for it. If it's fixable great, but they'll always be a Carfax against it. You could take about 3,000 to $5,000 off of a vehicle for that. Sorry this happened to you.

    I would sue for negligence of the driver and/or their insurance. This texting and driving's got to stop, as I was rear-ended by a texter also. I'm really sorry I didn't sue. Sorry to hear this happened to you, nobody deserves this kind of nonsense.
