  1. Hybrid Transmission Reliability Question

Always do a break in service on ANY new vehicle esp turbo charged! Is it as necessary as 15-20yrs ago? No. Still a wise move tho...then go onto 5k mi oil change services from there. Do not go 10k or even 8k on any type vehicle w/any type oil! It's just plain foolishness ...as it's foolish to do...
  2. Hybrid Transmission Reliability Question

It's not that junk Nissan type design. Ford knows better. Esp w/trucks ..they've been #1 for 44yrs in sales if you weren't aware. Trucks are most competitive segment an there owners highly knowledgeable (well most anyway). You will not get a better designed hybrid of any type or a stronger...
  3. Just picked mine up from getting a lift kit installed.... what's up with my rear wheel?

Maybe the install went wrong? I just don't get a lift on a small utilitarian unitized body truck but to each there own! It's a nice color & these are far better trucks as gas /4wd.
  4. My Maverick XLT 2.0L EcoBoost is delivered! Owner review, thoughts and real world input

Enjoy! The Ecoboost gen2 is a work of automotive engine art. We have 2 Ecoboost powered trucks now. Be sure to get full- synthetic oil in ur new Maverick at 1st oil change. It's important! Ideally after break- in @2k mis (max) do 1st oil change. Don't listen to dealer tell you 5k mis or 7500mis...
  5. Observations From A New Maverick And First-Time Hybrid Owner

You will love it an the fact that Ford delivered this at the price pt it did is remarkable. We love ours. We all have 1st editions. They will only get better an better each model yr.. as other automakers play catch up to Ford. They aren't the king of trucks for no reason. Take great care of it...
  6. Observations From A New Maverick And First-Time Hybrid Owner

Well said, an I agree! We have a '20 Ranger XLT FX4 truck we absolutely love an its been impeccable.. thus we bought our Lariat FX4 2.0 Ecoboost Maverick. It is a very well made truck ..every review said so. Your 100% correct in your assessment. There are alot of trolls sadly that have agendas...
  7. Gave up on Ford and bought a different hybrid.

Well, I'm a Ford truck guy an I expect far more than just high mileage . I expect good pulling #s ..good payload #s etc. If your good on "basic maintenance" you will get high mileage #s in any Ford truck easily. Oil changes at 5k mis (max) always. Using Motorcraft oil @minimum. Tranny fluid @...
  8. Gave up on Ford and bought a different hybrid.

Thats not even a truck? Hope you don't have regrets. Yes the Mavericks are as good as the reviews. Ford knows trucks better than anyone!
  9. Went a different direction during the wait.

Thats a steep price. I would've gone the Ranger route myself. The powertrain in those are sweet.
  10. I didn't want to order and wait so I..

Good job! Enjoy that awesome truck.
  11. Picked Up My XLT Hybrid Yesterday! [First Impressions]

Beautiful! Enjoy. Welcome to the Ford truck family. Do 1st break- in oil change b4 2500mis .. also told another guy recently. Just good practice on any vehicles. Your dealer may say not necessary! Well, of course they will they aren't interested in your engine giving you the most trouble free...
  12. My impressions of my XLT...

It's an awesome truck by near any standards! Enjoy it . Get 1st oil change done b4 2500mis for break-in regardless of what dealer tries to tell you. Ecoboost design /engineering is incredible hence why many other automakers are copying Fords formula (Honda , Yoda). They are quick, smooth, &...
  13. My first drive review/impressions of XL 2.0 Ecoboost

You will love the truck! Its amazing. Tho you may like the 2.0L Ecoboost better. Even if you don't need AWD ..tho it's a great feature to have esp for resale purposes or all around safety. Enjoy!
  14. 2022 Maverick First Impressions Review by Consumer Reports

Don't put any weight into what CR says. They lost my respect long ago! They are compromised.
  15. 2022 Maverick First Impressions Review by Consumer Reports

NOT a fan of Consumer Reports. Means nothing to me what they say about my '22 Maverick Lariat FX4 or '20 Ranger XLT FX4.. we love the vehicles! They are put thru their paces daily & run/drive terrific. Had 4 Ecoboost equipped vehicles now & all been flawless! CR shows favoritism & have been...
  16. Hybrid engines "put on hold" (?)

No manufacturer can anticipate the reception a new vehicle will have on the market. Heck ya they are overwhelmed an doin all they can go get vehicles in customers hands asap. Bet on it. Its a great truck an worth the wait. We love ours!
  17. Hybrid engines "put on hold" (?)

Tow package w/Ecoboost is a must have!
  18. My order on hold due to "Material Hold" ?

Bed mat is plenty good unless loading stuff that will scratch up the sides of bed etc Depends on your needs.
  19. Can’t wait on the MAV

Wise man! Those Escape hybrid are sweet. Good choice.
  20. Why is Maverick worth the wait?

What makes you think ppl on here can't wait a bit? Many just excited as are you to get there hands on this cool truck. That's why we bought one! Maverick Lariat FX4 in driveway next to our '20 Ranger XLT FX4.. a much more serious truck. Both great in there own ways tho. Maverick is worth the...
