  1. Adios, y'all . . .

I've had Ford trucks for as long as I can remember. I'm a bit older now and my Home Depot runs are few and usually for nuts and bolts. My hauling lumber and stuff for remodeling or rebuilding are over. My SO asked if I really needed a truck and I gave it lots of thought. As of Monday, I'm in...
  2. It's just a minor scrape . . .

I have two estimates. One is "not 100%" for $395, the other is from a trusted body shop for $692. I'm a firm believer in do it once, do it right. Guess where LONE is going tomorrow. :like:
  3. Anyone know what's in this envelope?

Just had LONE in for an oil change and found this in the rear door pocket when I got home. It's a sealed envelope and from the imprint appears to be a simple pin with a loop. Any ideas? Should I take it back? Or, put it in the glove box and forget about it?
  4. Tradition!

Pretty much a tradition here. Get a vehicle, get a jacket. I now have a closet full of jackets and memories. :)
  5. New Logo Bone-Head Award

I was over to a local Ford dealer today and all the new Mavs and Fords have the new big black and white flat oval badges. Only thing I've seen worse is GM's new Buick badge. Any other nominees for the Bone-Head Re-design award?
  6. Back Seat Headrests

Finally got my back seat headrests adjusted so I can see out the rear window. I'll post instructions, if y'all need them. (y)
  7. Random Bolt Appearance

I hate it when random bolts show up under the back of my Mav.
  8. Dealership Warning

I’m not sure where to post dealership warnings. So, if this gets moved, I’m OK. I bought my Maverick back in July from a large Ford dealership. I won’t name names, but they are in a well-known city in southern Maryland. They share the name of the city, are located on Crain Highway, and the name...
  9. TufSkinz Door Sills Protector Installed

Got these TufSkinz protectors from Amazon. Wasn't sure about them at first, but I think they'll do OK.
  10. Tradition!

I have an old tradition of taking any new or new to me vehicle to Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary for a photo op. The drive through trail is only open on Sunday and yesterday was the first day I had an open schedule. So, here's LONE on the bridge. Hope you enjoy.
  11. OK, I did it.

I traded my 2010 Ranger for a 2019 Ranger and knew from the start it was a mistake. Too big, too much money, and too old a design. Just traded the Ranger in on a Maverick. It seems to be the right size and, so far, the right fit. It's a Lariat with only 2 options - sun roof and tow package...
