Hey guys, went to change my cabin air filter for the first time. Watched this video first:
In it, he shows some sort of damper on the side that must be released first. But on my '24, I don't see a damper. I have that same knob that is designed for the damper to clip to, but no actual damper...
I’m sure this has been answered before, but not sure what to search for: I’ve always wondered why the trim to the dash side of the power window switch panel doesn’t align with the switch panel itself. It’s actually a bit sharp with the exposed edge. Was this a style choice? A mistake in the...
Can anyone that has one of the Ford pivot storage boxes comment on how easy it is to remove? If I need to pick up a few sheets of plywood or a half yard of loam, do I need tools to remove it or can it be removed by hand?
Was looking for Mobil 1 5W-30 to do an oil change and Walmart had these 12qt dispenser boxes for $57 delivered. The spout is actually good, doesn’t leak, you just need to get yourself a measuring cup that becomes your “oil” measuring cup. Cheaper and reduces waste...
Well, I may have spoke too soon about the TPMS on my winter setup working right out of the box: while these (possibly counterfeit) MotorCraft sensors immediately seemed to get picked up by the system, after driving about 35 miles the TPMS system went into fault mode and none of them are...
Not supposed to see temps above the low 40s here in NH so mounted my snow tires/wheels today. These are some older Sport Edition wheels I picked up on Craigslist for $100 (guy even delivered them to me!). They are 17x7.5” with an offset of +40 and fit fine.
The wheels were in good shape except...
Not sure if there are multiple key styles based on trim level, but I have the four-button “switchblade” style key for my XLT. I find the blade often sticks when I try to open it: the release button depresses fine, but the key itself binds. Tried (lightly) spraying the pivot point with some...
I got a cheap set of Sport Edition wheels with the correct bolt pattern and offset to use for winter tires. However, they didn’t come with any lugs. I understand most aftermarket wheels like these are conical seat, and MOST OEM wheels are ball seat. But looking at the OEM lugs on my Mav, they...
Little embarrassed to be posting this but can’t figure out that I’m doing wrong. Got the OEM/Dee Zee tailgate assist with my Rewards points. But the “t-nut” that is supposed to hold the bracket to the side of the tailgate keeps popping out of the hole? What am I doing wrong?
I have a sporadic rattle that’s pretty loud coming from what seems to be the headliner just behind the moonroof. Can’t hear it with moonroof tilted/open (assume because wind noise), but with moonroof closed it’s noticeable. Have tried applying pressure with my hand to the headliner behind the...
Twice now I've tried to order the tailgate assist. The first time, FedEx delivered me an envelope torn open at the top with nothing inside (no assist, no paperwork). Clearly, the tailgate assist is too heavy for a simple cardboard envelope and ripped it open in handling by FedEx. Called Ford...
Thought I'd show what I did in my Mav (EB XLT). I combined a number of different ideas I'd seen on here; I apologize to those that I borrowed from that I didn't take notes on who originally posted what. Goals were to improve sound quality, while keeping everything in a state where I could easily...
I have five of these left over:

They fit the rear speakers on a Maverick/Bronco, and I believe the front tweeters too (but not the front woofers). Cover postage and they're yours.
I have some speaker-to-low level converters I'll be using to tap the front speaker wires coming from the ACM. The have female RCAs on the other side, so I'll then need to run an RCA cable from there to my amp in the back. Thought I read that most people snaked RCAs from the ACM to the rear...
Got an email from my dealer today. It expires at the end of June, by which time I doubt I'll have hit 2k miles, but am thinking of taking advantage of this even though I think the idea of "break-in oil" is BS. Anyone else try it? Do they push you hard for other services?
I'll use synthetic when...
I can't find the post now via serach, but someone on here showed their wireless CarPlay adapter that they had tucked in the empty space available above the USB port area when you (gently) pull the trim plastic down. They'd found a flat USB-C cable to run from the USB-C port to the wireless...
For anyone that mounted an amp where the B&O amp normally goes on the Lariat: what size bolt holes are those pre-threaded ones? I thought they were M5 but bougt a handful of M5 bolts and they don't seem to fit.
Took delivery this weekend. Because I opted for the factory all-weather floor liners, I just noticed I didn’t get any carpet floor mats in the back seat. Is this standard, or did my dealer forget them?
For anyone that used 4x6 speakers in the rear: I assume you just popped off the plastic bracket that holds the OEM 4”? Looks like it has two retaining tabs and then some pressure fit pins. Correct?
EDIT: Disregard, I was able to mount them without removing the OEM adapters.
EB XLT w/ Tow, FX4 and moonroof. Ordered 1/10/24, picked up yesterday (sat In Production for over two weeks, presumably while doing a recall). Immediately washed, clayed, polished and ceramic coated.
