  1. For DIY New Rotors / Pads - Did you grease the slide pins?

Just wondering for those who did their rotors/brake pads if they greased the caliper slider pins. I greased mine as they didn’t seem to have a lot of grease on them. In the old days I didn’t always add grease if they looked good. These ones don’t seem to hold as much grease as the old style...
  2. Anytone AT-5000 Compact CB Radio (with SSB) a great fit for Ford Mavericks

At 25:22 in this video it shows a AT-5000 installed in a Ford Maverick. As a CB guy for years it's pretty cool to see a SSB radio that small and it fits perfectly in the Maverick.
  3. Firestone Destination AT2 Review - 50,000 Miles

I've been a Falken Wildpeak fan for quite a while on my other vehicles so going to the Firestone Destination AT2 was a leap of faith but I'm glad I gave them a try. Going to the 235/70R17 gave the truck a different look and filled the wheel wells while giving a small clearance boost. The larger...
  4. Ecoboost rear brake pads - piston compression tool

Hi Guys, Hitting 80,000 and getting ready to do rotors and pads for the first time. Read a bunch of the threads on brake jobs and I've done a ton in the past but was reading the service manual and it says the following on the rear brakes - Installation 1. NOTICE: Do not use a C-clamp to...
  5. Ecoboost Battery Recall - any updates on this?

22' Ecoboost FX4 Mav XLT - Recently I've had some weird/random warning messages pop up at random times. Messages disappear on their own and don't come back. It sounds like others have also had these issues with their battery starting to die. Had a parking break fault pop up today, had about 6...
  6. How to safely clean your screen (video)

I saw a post on Facebook where a guy damaged his cluster plastic with a cleaner that was too strong so figured I’d make a video about how to safely clean your screen because you don’t want to mess that up. I’ve been using this product since I bought the truck.
  7. How to fit a 14-foot sailboat in a Maverick (video)

Been hauling our sailboat to the beach for a couple of years now and figured I’d show my tricks with the hitch extender. Using the straps for extra tension makes a huge difference.
  8. Fuel tank gauge accuracy? (Video)

Best best is to never let your gas tank get this low. I was always told this is not good for the fuel pump if you do it regularly as when it gets low it can overheat because the fuel helps keep it cool.
  9. Low coolant levels - where is it going? Ecoboost

22’ Ecoboost. Had a coolant smell in cab couple of months ago, checked and coolant was low (below minimum when stopped or running) so filled it up. Now two months later it’s below minimum line again and I can faintly smell it in the engine bay. Searched for an hour but can not find a leak or...
  10. Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck (Video)

We got a bunch of snow last week and although I'd already given the new Firestone Destination AT2 235/70R17 tires some good snow testing this year I figured I'd give the Maverick the tough task of trying to escape my slick concrete driveway without shoveling it first :) It's escaped previously...
  11. Should you buy a Ford Maverick Bed Extender? (Owner Review Video)

I was working on a different video the other day and looked up at my bed extender hanging in the garage and thought maybe I should do a video on it after 2 years of ownership,
  12. Video: 235/70R17 AT's might be the perfect size (for those who don't want to add a lift kit)

I had almost two years with the Pirelli's and it was just enough time to finally make my decision on which AT tire to try for this winter.
  13. 235/65 spare won’t fit. Now I know why the "full size" spare is so small.

I got new 235/70 tires and thought I could use my wife’s used 235/65 on my steelie as the spare to lessen the height difference if I got a flat and had to go a longer distance vs the “full size spare” (215/60=27”). Been messing for over an hour and can not get it to fit but I swear other people...
  14. Do weathertech mats have the passenger attachment clip hole?

My ford mats don’t have the hole in the passenger mat to connect them in so they don’t move around but it bothers me more because there’s a lump under it. Do the weathertech mats have the hole for the peg to clip into? They offer better coverage so excited to try them butdon’t want to run...
  15. Installed Magnaflow Cat Back exhaust system on Maverick EcoBoost (video with sound clips)

After many months of looking at and comparing cat back exhaust systems I finally pulled the trigger and added the Magnaflow to my 2022 FX4. I wanted the performance gains of a cat back but I didn't want the sound of the less restrictive exhaust to be annoying. Many people have posted their...
  16. Could a smaller spare damage your differential over long distances?

Got my first flat tire and my “full size spare” was a 215/60R17 and 27.2 inches compared to my stock 225/65 pirelli tires at 28.5. I read through the manual and it seems like the full size spare isn’t a 50mph max tire it’s a 70mph max. So my question - on a long road trip if you use the full...
  17. My Pirelli Scorpion (stock FX4 tires) wear after 35K miles. How's yours?

Was checking my tires today and although early on I thought the tires were wearing quicker than expected it seems they're holding up ok after 35,000 miles / 18 months. I thought I might have to change them around 40,000 originally but I think based on current tread they probably will make it...
  18. My Forscan menu looks different than all the videos - FX4 adding ECO and SPORT

Hello, I finally got around to attempting this mod today (22 XLT FX4 4K) and I was able to add the modes successfully I believe (they now show up :) ) However one weird thing was when I got to the screen to enable / disable mine looked very different than all the other videos I had seen. Sorry...
  19. Trim piece coming loose on roof near back window

This one piece of trim pops up on the freeway. Weird thing is that it has a little nub piece but it doesn’t really do anything to hold it in place. Seems like a poorly engineered solution for trim to be held in place. Dealer is working to resolve it.
  20. Dash speaker covers warped / rattling

I've had a rattle on my dash for the last couple of months but was just ignoring it for the most part but today it got a lot louder and I noticed that my speaker cover over my tweeter looks to be warped. The one on the other side also isn't flush but not as bad as the drivers side one. Going to...
