Since I had to replace the OEM flooded battery with an AGM I'm more interested in what's going on electrically with the Maverick, and thinking that I should install a voltage meter (or ammeter) but unsure what's the best route to go. Any recommendations? TIA
Every week for the past two months, I get an "URGENT! Reply immediately!" letter from Ford's warranty division, insisting that I call or click or scan the QR code to purchase their extended warranty 'before it's too late' ... and that's how you can tell what a huge money-maker extended...
It's winter in Michigan and Steve Trucklet needs a good wash, but I'm concerned about damage to the added exterior parts (i.e.stone deflector and mudguards) so I thought I'd ask: which car wash brand gets your vote?
I had to jump the 12v battery last week and couldn't do it via the power points under the hood, so I went to the battery posts and got the truck started, and it got me thinking: do my power points actually function? My battery tender showed no connection but it needs a minimum amount of charge...
Not sure what happened, but my Motorola phone no longer automatically launches Android Auto when I get into the truck. I looked through settings in the phone and the app and the infotainment settings and I don't see anything amiss, but I have to disconnect and reconnect the phone to get Android...
Unlike most of the folks on the MTC, I wanted a longer-than-OEM rooftop antenna to see if I could pull in far-off radio stations in the Maverick, so off to Amazon I went. Found the Eightwood universal radio antenna, with a 16" mast and three threaded adapters to choose from. Installation is...
The sun shade for the Maverick windshield arrived today from #Mabett, and like the other products I've purchased from them, it's impressive. Arrived in a large resealable bag with instructions on folding and unfolding the shade, and the shade itself is in its own black, zippered bag for stowing...
Purchased in March of 2024 - like new condition - original packaging retained and can be shipped at additional cost...(just give me a ZIP code and I'll calculate the charge)
0ver $700 new but can be YOURS for half the price! PM with your offer or any questions.
After a half year of wishing I had ordered a cap instead of a tonneau cover, we've pulled the trigger on a Leer® 180XL. Our first camping trip really drove home the need for it...just couldn't get everything we wanted to bring under the flat tonneau and ended up adding a cargo bag onto the top...
Purchased the kit (headlights, turn signals, front marker lights) and opened the box...then decided I just don't have the drive to install it...sealed it up again and am making it available to MTC members with free standard shipping included. Send me a msg if interested. Thanks!
A local tint shop (586 Tint Factory) is offering to do a full frontal PPF application on our Steve Trucklet: full hood, full front fenders, mirror caps, painted bumper surfaces and all front light glass for $2k and they'll do ceramic on the rest of the truck for another $1k. 10 year warranty...
Update: yep, the issue is brushing the lock tab next to the door handle as I exit the truck. I'll have to train myself to make sure it's unlocked if I intend to reenter it shortly. Carry on, nothing to see here. 😏
The sun was out and I decided I wouldn't wait any longer, so I broke out the tools and got it done: installed the long-awaited low-profile trifold hard top from Rough Country. It took awhile to get it done but it was definitely worth it...getting the drop in liner side panels off, trimmed (for...
I can remote start Steve Trucklet with the FordPass app but not with the keyfob. I searched the configs with FORScan but I don't see anything relevant to my task. Just curious why it starts with the app and not with the keyfob...
Finally got the flush mount 3-fold hardtop tonneau delivered from Rough Country for Steve Trucklet...and, of course, now it's too freaking cold and windy to install it (first day of Spring in Michigan), so I unpacked it and ensured there's no damage or missing parts...hopefully the current...
I decided to have a little fun with the tailgate letters, so I installed all of the letters except for the "E" and mocked up a single dash where the E would go. I figure, why not? That's how most everybody pronounces it anyway.
