  1. Is it safe to assume my tailgate assist bracket but is seated correctly if I can’t move it?

    Didn’t realize you had to seat the nut so I kept hitting it with the impact. It went from lose to tight a few times. if I can’t move the lower bracket, is it safe to assume I have the lower but seated correctly ?

  4. Scratched my tailgate while putting on the tailgate assist. Should I cover this with touch up to prevent rust? How quickly do I need to apply it ?

    Living in the Midwest, I assume rust is pretty prevalent. Do I need to cover this? Is the tailgate steel or aluminum ?
