  2. Can't hear anyone on Android Auto phone calls

I use Android Auto, and have never had any problems with it (OK, before a got a quality cord, I did, but not since). Anyhow, the other day while driving, I had an incoming call. I answered, but no one was there. I figured it was spam and they hung up. No problem. Later, another call, same thing...
  3. Pretty happy with my 23 XLT hybrid

We finished a trip to Acadia National Park in Maine. From Central East Coast Florida to Maine and back, 14 days and about 3800 miles, averaged about 38 mpg, with a huge amount of those miles at speeds from 70 to 80+. Obviously had a lot of miles in local driving. My best tank was 46, and my...
  4. From a post from a Facebook Maverick group

This makes more sense than a horse or a calf to share with fellow Maverick owners. Copied from Ford Maverick Hybrid Only, Forrest Reaves.

  6. Hopefully no more "Deep Sleep" for a while

So, I took my 23 XLT hybrid in for its oil change today. I told the service writer that I’d also like them to look into the constant “Deep Sleep” issue I was having with it. He looked at me and said, “What’s a deep sleep issue, I’ve never heard of that. So, I pulled up the Ford Pass app and read...
  7. Not directly Maverick related, but...

Can you imagine having to clean the front of your Maverick with this Think lovebugs are bad now? They once caused a public safety crisis in Florida
  8. And now, a rant about wheels and tires that are too big.

An interesting read about the growth of wheels Can we please just go back to using smaller wheels and tires?
  9. Calibrated MPG display

Went into Engineering Mode a couple of weeks ago, and calibrated the MPG display. I filled up yesterday, and, after months of calculated mpg being about 2.5 mpg, it came in at a difference of about 1 mpg. When I adjusted, I already had about 150 miles on the tank of gas, so I'll see how far off...
  10. On my way to Yellowstone

Left Melbourne Florida this morning for Yellowstone and other places out west. Got in about 750 miles, the bulk of it on interstate highways with speeds running 75 - 80, temperature up to 100. The XLT hybrid ran great and averaged a bit over 35 mpg. I'm quite happy with this little truck.

  12. A storm just set off my Perimeter Plus alarm

Having a good Florida thunderboomer rainstorm right now. Lightning strike near by with a very LOUD boom. It set off my Perimeter Plus alarm. Good to know it works.
  13. Deep Sleep question

On Tuesday and Thursday, I made a short drive, very stop-and-go, and I got the Deep Sleep notice within a half hour of parking. This is the first time this has happened since I got my hybrid Maverick, about 3 1/2 months ago. Three hours later not only did the truck remote unlock, but it also...
  14. Another thumbs up for Muslogy Mudflaps

Got mine the day after ordering on Amazon. Included the tool and felt strips, but not the PPF. A message here on MTC and they asked for my mailing address and sent some. It's an easy install, good price, and appears to be a good product. Others have commented on their good customer service and...
  15. My first 600 mile fill up

I've got almost 2200 miles on my 23 XLT Hybrid, but I've typically been filling up around 1/2 tank. I decided I wanted to go for the 600 miles on this tank. Prior, the most miles I'd ever gone in any vehicle I've ever owned was under 400, and then usually just a bit over 300. I doubt I'll make a...
  16. First use of Optimum No Rinse

I really don't like car washes with those big brushes. Can't help but feel they're not good in the long haul for the paint job. Unfortunately, my condo doesn't have any place to wash our cars, and I really want to keep my Maverick clean. So, after reading many reviews and watching my Youtube...
  17. Ready to go kayaking with custom kayak rack holder in bed

I borrowed the design from a post on this forum from last year. The rack will be secured with straps, and the cross pieces fall into place in the bed, so the rack will not move, forward or backward. In the photos the kayak is not strapped, but of course will be, and I'll have red flags attached...
  18. Rokblokz vs Muslogy Mud Flaps?

I want to put mud flaps on my XLT and am looking at these two. I've read great reviews on both. I was leaning toward the Rokblokz, but the $100 more than the Muslogy is starting to make me look the other way. Does anyone have experience with both that could compare them?
