I got the very last product batch of '22 EcoBoost Lariat from Granger in early December 2022. So far, it seems to be a very stable one, with only two software/firmware update recalls. And in the latest 12V battery recall, I find that mine has AGM battery so it should be affected.
Today I drove into a Vietnamese Grocery just off I-95. In the same row I parked, I saw there were already two Mavericks there. Both are Cactus Grey. One Lariat with disabled DE plate, and another XL with NJ plate. So all our three in the same parking row of about twenty vehicles.
It was snowing this morning when I drove to work. The snow was wet. Suddenly a warning message on dashboard saying my Pre-Collission Alert was disabled because of blocked sensors.
I guess that is because of the wet snow accumulated on the front bump. And I'm surprised that the sensors don't...
I drove my Lariat Lux onto mountains. There wasn't cellular signal available. I knew that before so I downloaded offline maps on my phone's google maps.
Everything went well on my way onto the mountains with my phone connect to Android Auto via wireless adapter. Even when the cellular signal...
I went onto Poconos Mountain the past weekend. My phone is on premium TMobile 5G plan but there is no TMobile network available there.
To my surprise, my phone couldn't connect to Android Auto on my Maverick, even though the Bluetooth connected very quickly. I tried rebooting phone, turning...
I had a hard tonneau cover. And he like to carry my road bike without taking off any wheel. Here is my solution and it passed my first test this weekend:
The cross bars are not fixed. They are kept in place by the tonneau cover pressure. So it is not too hard to take off the bike carrier, cross...
Got it at AliExpress. Received in about two weeks.
Installation is easy and connecting time at start is about 5-10 seconds. I'll use a double sided type to stick it under the bay.
Will see if the connection stay stable while driving. So far, seems good.
On the south bound half, set speed on 65-80 MPH, while 60-75 MPH on north bound. In between, about 400 Miles on lower speed on local or local highway. Used 87 gas all the time. For the whole trip, got 30.1 MPG.
I haven't driven long distance for a few years. I didn't feel tired for the 500-600...
Not fixed/screwed to side rail. Just use the hard tonneau and it's own tension to keep it at place.
Fit in to my purpose that is to carry my road bike occasionally while still have a closed bed space to take other luggage, and easy to take it off when I don't have the bike.
Here is the Ford original idea. The bed is just a few inches shorter to close the tailgate:
Also tried the hitch rack. It won't have enough space to allow me to open the tailgate flat. It also triggers the backup assistance warning which I can disable (but you may not want to permanently)...
I usually just drive my EB Lariat in Normal Mode and I like the feel of it's firm acceleration (comparing with my old Outback 2.5 CVT).
Today, I decided to try it's Eco mode, I almost immediately felt that the acceleration was so much softer.
Is it real or I just psyched?
