I've done the same thing on my XLT, upgraded it to SYNC4. Biggest complaint with SYNC4? Ford refusing to let carplay go true full screen. So annoying to me.

It sucks, but I believe they have to have it default to eco mode to achieve the EPA ratings. Or something along those lines.

Absolutely this. Adding “chips” etc to a computer in all reality does nothing. It may mess with something like fuel maps (I don’t really know) but you have to think about how an engine actually works. You need to add more fuel and more air to make more power. It’s that simple.
