    I know in florida , tires should only be used for 5-6 years before the dry rot cracks are a problem, regardless of mileage.

    ...for optimum ride comfort on our crappy city roads. I would rather be comfortable though than run excess pressure trying to eek out a fraction of an MPG on smooth roads. Was also looking at the Conti Tour 54 or tried and true Defender, but Sam's club has the Pirelli's for a good price installed.
