Could be the driveshaft assembly, mine only vibrated in cooler weather and over 60kph. A new driveshft was installed under warranty and problem was resolved.
Been a brutal winter here in NL, seems like spring has sprung , got the MAV in for the annual Krown rust protection and took off winter tires. Gave it a bit a bit of love today!
Yes, had the battery replaced with a AGM under warranty , no issues with deep sleep and interior lights not coming on . If your MAV is under the recall you should get it replaced under warranty.
Might be different for the hybrids, worth checking into.
The driveshaft failed on my 22 mav, was causing a rumbling sound when going over 60 kph was more pronounced in cold weather. It was replaced under warranty.
Update on the vibration in the Mav, turns out it was the drive shaft u joints that were causing the issue i was having. Avalon Ford replaced said drive shaft and all is good, all covered under warranty.
Hi All , getting a vibration in the Mav some times , more noticeable when in sport or tow/haul modes not sure if it is the cv joint axles or some thing else. Any input would appreciated before i bring it to the dealer, only 27k on truck . Thanks Russ!
The 25'S have a different 2 Litre , has both direct injection and muti port fuel injection, so there should be no smell of gas. I change the engine oil every 6 months in my Ecoboost to help prevent carbon buildup on the valves.
You need the ball stud part # AA5Z6N958A, paid 22 bucks can. for this . A bit pricey but cover is attached at all corners . You can pick one up on Ebay .
Recently installed the Lincoln cover on the Mav , picked up a few different emblems on Temu to replace the Lincoln one , went with the turbo chrome with black lettering here are a few pics. Sorry the engine bay needs a detail.
Never had any issues with KROWN although i have heard some members have had issues . I Have never had any problems with the MAV other than regular maintenance and service .
I live on the east coast in NL Canada, you can literally watch rust form on uncoated metal. I have used Krown rust control every spring since new along with a desalt application ,no rust on the MAV after three plus years
