The dealers all use the same system to order. After the enter the info...it spits out the MSRP, A/C/X Plan pricing. They are probably just ignorant to the process. Most sales people are not given the credentials to physically enter the order.
Ford's system, dubbed FordPass Connect launched just a few years ago with a promise of up to five years of free service. Ford has now decided that it's more important to generate revenues from services running on top of FordPass Connect so it's making the connectivity free for life. Oct 14...
Yes and no...the Maverick (like any vehicle) will have a GCVWR. Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating is the maximum weight of your tow vehicle and trailer combined, both loaded with all cargo. The tow vehicle and trailer each have their own separate GVWR numbers, which, combined, make up the...
I concur...but we are modern state park campers. No water, generator, wood etc. I'll convert the 4 flat to a 7 pin to utilize trailer brakes. Pop up campers also have low center of gravity and not the "wind sail" effect of taller campers. Worst case scenario...well drive two vehicles on the...
Agree...we only camp within a few hours and carry minimal equipment. I think we will be under 2000# after throwing a couple hundred pounds on bed. Assuming GCWR is around 3000...we we are more than fine.
Our 2014 Escape with 2.0 pulls it like its not even back there.
Appreciate the input.
I'm working under the assumption that if Ford rated for 2000# it is probably capable of pulling 2500-2750#s before the legal dept reminds them not to go overboard. European vehicles are often rated for higher towing capabilities than there identical American counterparts. I have a 1700# camper...
I would assume that online orders are essentially pushed through a dealership. Ford is not legally allowed to sell vehicles direct to consumer. That being said, I think it is always is FCFS; unless you order a trim package that suffers from some sort of delay.
Always treat them as 2 separate transactions. 1) You are buying car from them. 2) You are selling them a car. Sales folk always ask if you are trading something in up front. I always tell them that I have not decided and will make that decision after I decide if I'm purchasing a new vehicle.
Ranger sales were around 100,000 units in 2020. "If" it went on sale in August...I will say 40000 through year end and 85000 in first 12 months.
I would guess sales could climb in years 2 and 3 if Americans are convinced that a non "frame-on-rail" truck can still be a truck.
These were taken a few miles from my house in mid-Michigan. I'm pi$$ed I didn't see it. I would have loved to talk to the driver.
Of course with the number of #$%@ knuckleheads spreading COVID in my fair state...he or she would have probably ran from me like I had the plague.
