2022 Maverick XL, ecoboost, tow package
Biggest issue I’ve been having for over a year but seems to be getting worse lately.
At a stop either at a stop sign, light, or even just leaving my garage. My truck in gear, brake off, foot off brake, truck doesn’t move forward until I tap the gas, then...
Correct, it wasn’t coolant level that was the issue. Took truck in for service last week, they found a bad switch for the heater. Apparently heater only working on Hi is default when switch goes bad. Now my heater is working perfect again.
Update:
I just drove truck around neighborhood to get up to temp. I turned heater on Hi and it blew nice and warm.
I then tried to lower heat temp to 85, 84, 83, etc…. As soon as I moved knob off the Hi level heat seemed to stop working until I put back on Hi again. Now I’m at a loss to...

Gauge was showing temp. in the...
Thank you again for your suggestion on fluid level possibly being low. I hope that you’re right about it already being low from factory.
I’ll check my oil also and I already have a service appointment next month to check it all out.
I ran motor just now with heat full blast.
I’m pretty sure it’s working now, it felt pretty warm and it’s 40 degrees right now. Now my concern is why it’s losing coolant with only 8,000 miles on truck.
Just checked coolant level-
It was at the minimum mark so I just topped it off to max level. I’ll have to test it tomorrow to see if that did anything or not.
I have XL model with ecoboost motor. Last winter hot air worked fine. Last month went on a road trip and noticed during trip that heater didn’t work. I’ve tried everything and nothing works. Any ideas? Does this truck have an electric heater?
