I have a 2023 in the XLT trim with the 2.0 EB and 4k tow and FX4. Iāve only had it a little over a week. First full tank showed 29.4 on the computer and hand calculated at 27.5. 60 mile daily commute with rolling hills and about 75-80% is on 2 and 4 lane highways with 55 mph speed limit.
Made it back last night with my new Maverick. If anyone is in the East TN/West Carolinas area, D and D Motors in Greer, SC seemed pretty on top of it and good to work with.
As for the Maverick, it drove well and got good gas mileage on the way back home. So far so good
I have called about quite a few. Most were 5k+ over MSRP. Thatās a big reason why I hadnāt got one yet. This one is 1k over. I figured that was close enough to reasonable.
Found one that somebody had ordered but didnāt take possession of. Exactly what Iāve been wanting. Iāve put put down a deposit and signed a purchase agreement. Going to pick it up on Monday.
It may be that I am just jaded, but I canāt help but think that Ford is seeing an opportunity for more profit that the dealers are currently getting. Iām sure they would love to be able to cut out the middleman and spread out small markups over a larger number of the vehicles they sell that...
I have been debating on ordering a ā23. I would really like to see some other color interior on the lariat (just donāt think I like the copper color), fog lights, and auto dimming rear view mirror.
