Thanks, reslshelby. I have also read that others have had no problems with theirs. That being said, I believe the current best option with none of the issues of the Roadmaster or Blue Ox baseplate is the Demco.

FYI, I emailed Kevin from Demco asking him to confirm that the operation of the Active Grill Shutters is NOT impacted by the "modification" to the air dam during installation of the base plate. Had you asked them this question before?

I will check on the other adapters you suggested Again, thank you. I "chatted" with eTrailer about the Demco baseplate. They told me they currently do not have an order placed for it yet. no idea when they will actually carry it. I will wait.

FYI, they also have an adapter so i can use my Blue Ox Aladdin tow bar. ($123)

Great tip. I was planning on going with the Blue Ox since I plan to use the Aladdin Blue Ox Tow bar I use for my Fusion Energi. Now I will look at going this route. Thanks again.

I plan to connect the power line on the 6-pin connector to a trickle charger in the Mav so the MH can charge the Mav's battery while on the road. I found this set up to work towing my Fusion Enrgi and it worked well for me.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe i will consider other options. Have you heard any others with the same issues? It is too expensive an item to risk having those kinds of leak issues.

I have been towing a Fusion Energi Hybrid for years. The plug-in option at campsites was a great bonus. only problem is the clearance on the Fusion is too low , hence the switch to the Maverick. Blue Ox now has a baseplate for the Maverick that is compatible with all my existing towing gear...

Where is it leaking? Did RealTruck offer up any solution? This is one I am looking at as well.
