  2. Anyone seen any bedrail bike mounting solutions?

    So I'd like to have the bike mounted with the tailgate fully closed. I noticed the Ford 2x4 crossbar mount, it will work, but it bugs me the tailgate has to stay half open. I was going to mount a fork mount to the front of the bed, but my bike is still 2-3" too long for the bed to close. Curious...

    mounted mine behind the rear windshield. Would have mounted it on the door pillar, but the buttons were oriented horizontally. Didn't wanna mount it to the paint, so this works just fine for what I need. I don't believe it'll interfere with a bed cover if I decide to get one.

    Got the pad installed. Evidently it was no big deal for the mechanic. It will take a Ford tech to program it as their software is needed. FYI for anyone in the same boat as me. Pretty simple, he didn't charge, but it can't be programmed at home as far as I know.

    I believe you are correct. If that was stated in the product description on the site I think it would clear up the confusion. Ford were pretty easy to deal with and are refunding the money so I can order the correct part.

    Thanks amigo. Maybe this will help clear up confusion for other folks going forward. Ordered the wrong part because technically there is remote start through the app, but I believe Ford are referring to the remote start on the key fob.

    Looking for someone that has actually installed the Part No: KB3Z14A626A - Keyless Entry Keypad for Vehicles without Factory Remote Start on their XL. I have an handful of questions and haven't seen any threads from someone that has actually successfully installed in on an XL. TIA
