I went with the Maverick because the price was a lot lower than a Tacoma, and because it's a lot more economical on gas. The only other competitor was the Santa Cruz, and I wouldn't touch Hyundai with a 10 foot pole.
The Maverick does everything for my needs.
I've seen this happen under the oil cap of my vehicles during periods of extreme cold. I have a very short commute to work, and the engine doesn't get to full operating temperature until the weekend.
I just do shorter oil change intervals, and all of my vehicles have been fine.

44 y/o male here. I wanted something quick, good on gas, easy to work on, and with more ground clearance than my cars. The Ecoboost Maverick XL fit the bill. I've done a ton of stuff to this truck already, and plenty more planned.
I have both of these products installed on my 2025. They have saved me a lot of scratches!
However, the rest of the blue interior is just as scratch prone. I've had great success removing the scratches elsewhere using a heat gun on low heat. This only works if the scratches are shallow...
The Civic hybrid sedan, Toyota Rav 4, and Toyota Corolla Cross were also strong considerations for me.
I really liked the Civic and almost went with that one, but I was worried about the lack of ground clearance in the snow, and the lack of technical knowledge of that model by the Honda service...
No, I wouldn't have to get the software checked after putting a new factory spec radiator on my 2025 Ecoboost, and all hardware should be reusable, with the possible exception of the hose clamps ($5 at most).
These repair quotes you guys are posting are absolutely insane.
That's crazy. If anything ever happened to the radiator on my Ecoboost, I could get a new one for a few hundred bucks and install it myself in under an hour.
That's just one of the many reasons I sent with the Ecoboost over the hybrid.
I ordered the 2.0 EcoBoost. The decision was easy after test driving them both.
The hybrid is gutless on the highway, gutless climbing hills, and gutless for towing.
You can't tune the hybrid or do anything to improve its performance. Cost of ownership should be lower for me with the EB...
That's caused by the particulate filter that was added in the exhaust, not the engine.
The 2025 version of the engine for the Canadian market still makes 250 HP.
