I used this one from harbor freight. It works fine. The only thing is that because the bed is so short I bent the tabs up so the ramp would sit against the lip better...
That was one of my concerns. The weight limit is 400lbs on the tailgate. So it is about 450, like you said. We made sure not to step on the tailgate as we were loading. But all said, the tailgate seemed to handle it fine.
Just a smig under. Figuring about 450lbs for each bike plus two people and gear, about 1400lbs. The payload capacity is 1500lbs. So basically right at the limit.
I was able to get two bikes in the back for the track. This is pretty exciting news. They werenāt touching. There isnāt a ton of extra space. But, I was able to get the ramp in between the bikes with a couple inches on either side of the bikes.

Honestly the Maverick. I've been wanting a awd small pickup for so long. I don't need a big pickup, and I don't off road. I just want to throw some stuff in the back.
I love my Escape, just wish it had a bed. Boom, this is it.
