That is a good idea. I’ll try that next time. I was surprised at how sturdy we were able to strap them down. Once loaded the didn’t move at all.

That was one of my concerns. The weight limit is 400lbs on the tailgate. So it is about 450, like you said. We made sure not to step on the tailgate as we were loading. But all said, the tailgate seemed to handle it fine.

Just a smig under. Figuring about 450lbs for each bike plus two people and gear, about 1400lbs. The payload capacity is 1500lbs. So basically right at the limit.

I was able to get two bikes in the back for the track. This is pretty exciting news. They weren’t touching. There isn’t a ton of extra space. But, I was able to get the ramp in between the bikes with a couple inches on either side of the bikes. Just a smig under. Figuring about 450lbs for each...

Honestly the Maverick. I've been wanting a awd small pickup for so long. I don't need a big pickup, and I don't off road. I just want to throw some stuff in the back. I love my Escape, just wish it had a bed. Boom, this is it.

I ordered on Saturday, got cancelled. I also reordered from quickparts.com. We will see what happens.
