A lot of us of taking this issue to Forde already and they can’t seem to find the issue. The noise of a clunk paired with the jerky staff is “normal behavior “for the Ford maverick, unfortunately.
Yes Jonboy227, quite a few of us have actually. From what I've read in this thread, and experienced myself, the dealership will look at the brakes and say there is nothing wrong with them. I think the consensus is that it is a software/regen braking issue so there is 'technically' nothing...
I’ve driven my truck for over 13k miles now and I can safely say that it doesn’t get better with time, in eco mode, rain/shine, or me “just getting used to it”.
The rep on this site has you reach out to a dealer yet the dealer cannot do anything about it since it’s a computer programming issue...
I too got the update from the dealer. So far I haven’t noticed the surging while stopped, and haven’t noticed the abrupt stopping like I had before. But I can say when you hit the brakes initially, you’ll feel it more than you use to.
Has anyone had any luck with these problems? I have a Hybrid XLT and I have about 4500 miles on it and seem to have the same problems.
I described to the the dealer that it either lurches forward at a stop, or I have to depress the pedals further on the secondary brake attempt (like inching...
