I had two Ridgelines. I liked my first one, but the transmission failed at 28K and the dealer could not repair it despite keeping in the shop for 2 weeks. It was leaking fluid when I took it home and then bought another Ridgeline that I just didn't like. Probably because I went from RTL-E to RTL...
Fair point. The Right vehicle depends on how you use it and how you rate different features. Both trucks offer a comfortable ride. I like the Mav ride slightly better because of the seats, which feel more comfortable for me (6'3" tall 185 pounds)
I picked up my 2024 Maverick Lariat Hybrid about a month ago. My first Mav. I have had a Honda Ridgeline since 2019. My thoughts after 1 month and about 2,000 miles including a 600 mile round trip on Interstates and the balance a mix of local driving.
The Maverick Hybrid is as advertised on...
Trucks I have had

1995 S-10
2003 Colorado
2006 Tacoma
2010 Tacoma
2017 Ridgeline
2022 Ridgeline
2024 Maverick.
I loved my S10. Small, no frills. Great truck.
The Colorado was a POS
Tacoma was nice but too big
Ridgeline has some unique and cool features (lockable trunk in bed...
I needed to drive from Buffalo to Columbus OH last week. I had to pick up my father's tool bic that he purchased in 1941 and used all of his life. We lost track of it but it turned up in Columbus so I raced put there
I received the Lariat Hybrid on April 24th so this is the first trip.
The...
Sorry. I should have been more clear. I was actually thinking about the view out of the windshield over the hood that seems to be lower. That is, looking out over the hood it feels like I can see more. This could be due to the hood design, overall height of the front of the hood or some defect...
I will add pictures and do an initial comparison review on a couple weeks.
Here are some first impressions.
Maverick Hybrid is already much better on gas.
The fit and finish is better
The sound system is better
The bed cover is much better quality
Seats are more comfortable
Controls are easy to...
I took delivery of my 2024 Lariat Hybrid yesterday. I ordered it on July 19 2023 so about 9 months. I appreciate all of the posters here who helped me understand what was happening with production and delivery. Thank you.
I previously was a Ridgeline owner. I have not had the Maverick long...
I ordered a Hybrid Lariat with sunroof on July 19th. Got my "sorry it is not yet your turn" email yesterday. This is OK with me as I don't need my Maverick right away. I hope to get it by this summer. My dealer did not require a down payment so no harm.
I agree. ESPs like all insurance generate profit for the insurance company. This means on average, the cost of repairs over the life of the ESP is less than the price of the ESP. And this is in addition to whatever commissions are involved for the sales person. I can understand why people want...
Thanks. I live 2 miles from NY dealer. I have stopped by in person twice since July. They are always pleasant but don't seem to know any more than I do about the order, other than it definitely has been placed. They helped me confirm that on my last visit. Now I wait. Like everyone else.
Thanks. I don't really care about the delay. Just don't understand why Ford (1) takes orders for a product they cannot deliver, (2) tells their customers absolutely nothing. I doubt I will ever visit a Ford dealer again and I am probably not the only one. Seems like they have no concern at all...
Ordered a Lariat hybrid on July 17th. One email from Ford on July 19th. Nothing since. Don't need it right away but would be nice if the good folks at Ford would communicate.
