  1. Dealer changed pricing on me

Carvana is worse than the dealers. They are selling used Maverii for over MSRP.
  2. Magic City Ford, Roanoke VA (Newest Scumbag Dealer)

Capitalism at work. If everyone buys the truck somewhere else, this dealer will either need to lower the price or go out of business. They were up front with you on how much they were charging. The scumbag dealers are the ones who would have told you it was selling for MSRP and then tell you...
  3. Magic City Ford, Roanoke VA (Newest Scumbag Dealer)

Not a dealer. Like I said, I sold a 2019 Trax to a dealer for more than what I paid for it brand new and frankly more than I thought it was worth. It wasn't scumbaggotry. It was understanding the basics of supply and demand and selling my car for what the market dictated. Ironically, the dealer...
  4. Magic City Ford, Roanoke VA (Newest Scumbag Dealer)

The definition of MSRP is manufacturer suggested retail price. The keyword is suggested. When the market says the consumer should pay less than "Ford's advertised price" you will have no problem if the price is less than what it is on the lot. When the tables are turned, they are all scumbags.
  5. Magic City Ford, Roanoke VA (Newest Scumbag Dealer)

Tesla prices change daily depending on the mood of Elon Musk. I bet before the pandemic when dealers were selling below MSRP you weren't going to argue that a dealer has no right to change the price. When consumers have the leverage and can negotiate prices below sticker it's all well and good...
  6. Dealer changed pricing on me

I mean, lojack and vin etching is basically nothing. I understand why the dealer did it, it's just laughable they pretend to care if someone steals your car after you buy it from them.
  7. Magic City Ford, Roanoke VA (Newest Scumbag Dealer)

Got to love capitalism. Great when it goes in my favor, scumbaggery when it does not.
  8. Dealer changed pricing on me

I love the dealers who add this theft protection junk. Why the hell do they care if someone steals the truck after you buy it from them?
  9. Maverick Has Arrived. Chapman Ford Horsam Goes Full Scumbag

There is work being down for that doc fee. Granted some dealers way overcharge but they are filing all that paperwork with the Secretary of State so you don't have to. I walked out of the dealership with a registration in hand. No need to wait at the Secretary of State. I think at most they...
  10. Nonrefundable order fee $500

There's no such thing as an order fee. That's 100% on the dealer. Ford does not require an order fee. Kind of hard to say since a lot of dealers don't charge a non-refundable deposit or order fee.
  11. First Live Sighting-Warren, Michigan 2-8-22

Spotted my first one at 11 and Hoover. It was a white one I believe a hybrid XLT. It was dark so hard to see the details. Had a Suburban Ford license plate frame. Hopefully they didn't con him into $3,500 of paint protection.
  12. Should I ??

When I first read the dealer name on the plate I thought it said Stiffy and I giggled.
  13. Owner tows 8k with his Maverick.

I assume the Silverado was not running? Seems the logical thing to do would have been to tow the Maverick with the Silverado.
  14. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

I work in reputational risk for my company and to be honest no one cares about Yelp anymore. Maybe restaurants. The BBB is also dated but we still respond to complaints there. You really want to go on Google, Facebook and Twitter. I had an issue with my dealer. They charged $230 in doc fees...
  15. Can we talk about how Maverick is being sold at nearly double its MSRP?

I decided to run that VIN number through Carvana and with 3,000 miles was offered $31,200. Carmax wouldn't give me an offer. I'm going to assume Carvana and Carmax aren't that far apart so the original owner of that car almost certainly sold it to Carmax for more than MSRP. I'm guessing there's...
  16. Can we talk about how Maverick is being sold at nearly double its MSRP?

I sold my 2019 Trax to a GM dealer for more than what I paid for it 2019. When a dealer does it, all hell needs to rain down on them. Looks like most of these Maverii are used so they may not have actually sold new at double MSRP. The people who turned them in may have received more than MSRP...
  17. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

That seems more like Permaplate which is basically just a wax. You'll have to read the fine print about the warranty. I believe with Permaplate you have to return to the dealer every year to have it re-applied. This VIN etching is hilarious. Why the hell does the dealer care if the truck gets...
  18. 2.0 Maverick Straight Pipe Installed w/ Sound Clip

It sounds better than I thought it would. I just can't get over how bad that muffler looks.
  19. Michigan roll call!

Well, don't have to worry about the plate. It arrived today. Ordered o March 24th and arrived today. Just under two weeks.
  20. Ordered Maverick, dealer added on $2.5K of features. What should I do?

Ceramic coating can be a good product and worth $1,500 but it depends on the quality of product they use. I didn't read through the whole thread so this may have been covered, but a lot of dealerships use a product called Permaplate which is basically just Turtle Wax. If the dealer did put on a...
