  1. New Product Question

The patent and copyright processes are a ton of work. You may start with selling stuff and build a rep but someone is going to steal it eventually.
  2. Tailights upgrade options

Anything which ruins function, run away from it!
  3. Transmission dial going to reverse while traveling 60 mph

Yeah the dial is just a link to the computer- it won't actually shift the truck into anything that will destroy it.
  4. Be Honest - have you ever driven with passengers in the rear seats?

Crash testing now includes side crashes too. 3 Dummies' heads hitting each other probably indicates brain damage would result if 3 people get hit. I think they only put 2 dummies in the back seat though
  5. I hate Winter and the Snow!!

I haven't seen snow in 5 years.
  6. Orange Fury Metallic now arriving at dealers (first photos)

Orange is my favorite color and would have ordered it in 2021 but we didn't want to spend $500 on paint. So my wife and I ranked all the "free" colors and grey was at the top of both our lists. (White and black look dirty too easy)
  7. Be Honest - have you ever driven with passengers in the rear seats?

We are getting older with no kids in the house. We drive our Maverick 6-7 days per week but have only had people in the backset about 10 days in 2.5 years. Still it's nice to have space to put stuff that would go in a trunk, and the ability to haul extra people if we weren't introverted. :)
  8. Back seat interior cab light won’t turn off

Also maybe open just one door and test that pushing the switch that knows if the door is closed or not the lights turn off. Or you could turn truck on and open the door and push the switch and release it with someone watching the dash to make sure the switches work.
  9. Rear window

Money. If it costs $4 per truck that's a quarter million dollars in no time.
  10. How do you start/warm-up a hybrid engine in extreme cold

This makes no sense. Using the heater doesn't harm any car's engine- it just uses some of the wasted heat. And in the hybrid world- turning the heat on will guarantee the ICE will turn on, getting the oil and engine warmed up BEFORE you make it do harder work.
  11. Maverick mileage versus my calculations

If you go up in tire size, the computer will think you're going further on the same amount of gasoline, so it will be more "off".
  12. Email Notifications on touch screen

You can dig through the settings in your email app then the settings in the phone for "notifications"
  13. From Edge to Maverick?

You can select "Change 1" to view other cars compared the Maverick: https://www.carsized.com/en/cars/compare/mazda-mx-5-2015-roadster-vs-ford-maverick-2021-4-door-pickup/?&units=imperial Funny enough Maverick is within a couple inches of the same width/ length of a Honda minivan.
  14. Cruise control downhill acceleration

Same, the hybrid is magical keeping speed downhill even with cruise off. But it's 100% different powertrain than the Ecoboosts.
  15. Terrible gas mileage!

I easily get 3-5mpg better MPG than my wife driving the same routes. -heat and A/C make the ICE work more. -accelerate moderate hard then "coast" to go to electric mode for a few miles. (Accelerating gentle upon a green light like in regular cars actually uses all the battery up then you can't...
  16. Fuel Lesson Learned

I worked at McDonald's in Evanston WY (on I-80, 3 miles from Utah) when I was young. The next McDonald's east or west are 70miles. South it's hundreds of miles? North it's at least 100miles. It cracked me up hearing "old people" tell other "old people" to make sure to get gas every town they...
  17. Fuel Lesson Learned

    DEFINITELY this!
  18. Added retro vinyl stripes

    You mean Carbonized Grey?
