Sad that you no longer have your Mav.
Looking at the initial estimate I was sure the Ins would total it. Some of the parts prices were quoted real low since no aftermarket parts are available yet.
Gonna order a new on when orders open up later this year?
Good comment there, the scheduling for at least 4 months yet is still open.
Hard for those waiting since early summer to swallow but there is a lot of time left before MY22 production stops.
As far as making any changes to your order, don't. So much time left and it really looks like an effort...
Yes, 68 fastback gt. Big Block and almost all the options. Slow off the line but easily handles over 120mph.
Yours looks to be a bit quicker, nice ride.
At this point you have to hang on until you get your build. Even if that means a roll over to MY23. Most likely your build will happen this model year so hang tight.
It is a shame that the dealer you were working with tried that crap with not only the ADM but all the other add ons.
This is the...
2021 Ford Escape Hybrid Recalled Over Engine Crankshaft Issue (fordauthority.com)
Looks like this is the same engine as used in the Mav Hybrid.
Anyone with better info on the motor issue please post.
There is any easy cure for "allocations" if you have to roll your order into 2023. Just order the same thing from a bunch of dealers, large or small near or far.
As long as you are not putting out a bunch of cash then why not?
If the logo on the building says FORD then as far as you and I are concerned it IS Ford.
Those that want to split hairs on that can but tell it to someone else.
Last week I got the scheduled email on my second Maverick. To be built week of 4-18.
2 weeks ago my first Maverick was scheduled for 4-04.
Seeing all this now coming from Ford concerns me as to if either of these actually get built.
Getting these pushed back would be OK if prices are locked...
Hybrid is the way to go for now.
Plug In is better as much driving is short hops.
Overnight charging is great but you need to be able to use gas if the driving in a given day exceeds 60-100 miles.
Hybrid Plug in AWD would be my choice.
All electric is still relying on carbon fueled electric...
So if I make 50,000 a year this year and next then the price goes up 10% somehow I am ahead of the game?
Judging the numbers versus inflation is great if you are keeping up with inflation. If not the price is still higher.
I sure would like to see that message from your dealer about getting rolled over to MY23.
Your proof on how long you have waited seems valid. I ordered 6-12 and just got scheduled last week.
I have not seen any notes from dealers or Ford saying specifically that orders have actually been rolled...
Finally got my Hybrid CO Mav scheduled for week of 4-04-22.
Now I can really start the mod list.
Thanks all for the pictures of added mods.
Makes it both easier and harder to choose what to order.
