I disagree with this, But I mean this is just nit picky stuff . When talking in the contexts of battery capacity, Wh is generally associated with the total electrical energy that battery can hold. Not how much work it has done.
After all the battery doesn’t have to do work, it can just store...
The 111 kw is the theoretical maximum that the motor can handle without breaking. It doesn’t mean it takes that much power to move the vehicle. The range is also assuming slow paced driving.
Precisely what 1kWh means. The battery can handle 1 kW of load for 1 hour before being depleted.
As to the other question the 1 kWh battery is very small and would not go long if it were continuously powering the vehicle by itself, maybe 2-3 miles depending on the speed and other factors. But I...
Yeah. Wh is commonly usually for describing battery capacity’s becuase it is easier to visualize (even though there are redundant units in it). I wasn’t arguing that. But In the post I quoted he was claiming that 60 kW is the battery capacity “contained energy” which doesn’t make sense...
I don’t know where you are getting this from. 1kWh is the “contained energy”, also equivalent to 3600 kJ.
Watts is a measure of power which is energy over time.
joules is a measure of energy. If the battery is 1 kWh it would be 3600 kJ of energy contained… (3600s (1hr) x 1 kW)
No. It’s depends on the tire size not on the rim size. The 225 diameter tires give you the same ground clearance on both the 17” & 18” wheels. The fx4 only has 17” rims available but allows you to select 235 tires which will give you the highest ground clearance(.3” higher)
As others have...
I also made the mistake of not adding a full size spare on my lariat lux Mav. I thought heck it comes with it. $115 is a deal for a tire with a steel Rim. I am curious if I can have the dealer order it separately for me? My truck is already scheduled.
I asked the salesman and he was quick to reassure me that it comes standard with wireless CarPlay. Maybe he was wrong. That would be dumb to not include it on the highest trim.
*EDIT salesman was wrong, google search and call to dealer confirms it does not have wireless CarPlay with the 10.25”...
I also test drove a Santa Cruz Limited recently.
Things I liked:
The exterior styling started to grow on me after a while, has an aggressive look. It was wider than I thought it would be, is it wider than a Mav? I liked that it felt decently large. The interior was super luxurious. The leather...
Order 2 trucks (by accident) at two different dealers in my local area. The first dealer wanted me to put down a $500 non-refundable “good faith” deposit, so I walked out. The 2nd dealer did not ask for a deposit.
Both trucks were still ordered and received confirmation from Ford. 1st dealer...
