My Tremor still has the old school toggle switch up by the dome light. Center is automatic dome light, one way is always on, and the other way is always off. Hopefully, maybe, you are overlooking something simple like that switch?

I am contemplating doing something like this on my Tremor. Did your old plastic bumper have those proximity sensors in it? Does anyone know what happens if you remove those sensors along with the bumper? Here is my solution for now, just give it something a little stronger to bottom out on hehe

I agree that cord quality is the culprit in most problems like this. I may be wrong, but I believe the big difference between USB -> USBC and USBC -> USBC is that the old school USB does not fast charge.
