They don't. Blackstone only reports what's in the fluid. it's up to you to interpret that and maintain the machine to your level of comfort.
This report shows uncomfortable metals. The silicone is new transmission stuff. The metals may or may not be new transmission stuff, which is why I'll...
This transmission oil report is for the 8 speed...NOT the eCVT.
I've spoken with more than one qualified Ford techs recently who swear that 30k is the maximum responsible fluid change for the 8F35. Since I missed the 30k interval, I changed it at 60k and sent a sample. The results are attached...
Thanks to everyone who put tips on here. I have the cheap Kia part wired up to the radar detector wiring I had already run, so it went together clean and easy.
Very pleased with the result.
First, this is great work and thanks for posting it. It's very helpful to have a list of tracking URLs from the mobile apps.
Did you test on iOS, Android or both?
I had previously confirmed that the TCU operates independently of the mobile apps. Since I pulled fuse 11, my car stopped sending...
Hmmmmmm. I do not have a TCU behind the seat. The part number decodes to a TCU and cross references to a bunch of Ford models.
Here's what mine looks like behind the seat.
I can also verify that 1) The data at Ford stopped when I pulled. the fuse (confirmed by dealer), and 2) the car no longer...
My Mav is a 22. That device behind the seat is an amp for the sound system (such as it is).
In the owners manual (for a 22), page 297. Body Control Module Fuse Panel location 11 is Telematics Control Module.
{edit for clarity] On a 22 the module is located straight behind the climate controls...

I think that would go badly.
First, there is a HUGE improvement in grip with the winter tires at lower temperatures. Add in some slippery surfaces and you're likely to create a condition where the rear is unstable and the ABS / stability control systems are confused. Going straight would be...
I set up a full set of winter tires for my XLT, FWD ecoboost a few weeks ago. Now that winter has hit full on, my experience is that these are a massive improvement over the stock tires. Not a little better...but fully transfomational. I always prefer a well set up FWD car to a AWD car in modest...
You could run to any of the big auto parts chains and either borrow or buy a modest OBDII scanner and clear the codes that have the light on. I would note what they are before clearing.
Alternatively, you can download Forscan, which will also read / clear the codes, but will require a cable...
Not sure how many miles you intend to put on this car. EGR systems plug up and require maintenance. It's not a big deal, and is a well known condition by now.
Your hybrid system is much more likely to fail long before anything emissions control related mechanically totals the car.
