After 20 years as a diesel mechanic and semi-trailer wreck rebuild mechanic I switched gears and got a degree in Physical Therapy.
I now drag people out of bed in the hospital and teach them how to walk again after their hospitalization, surgery, stroke, etc.
Selfie back in Covid ICU days.
My wife gets irritated when I point one out lol. Not many around NW AR. I see a few fleet trucks but not many private owners. That Cyber-Orange gives me whiplash. I'm a bit of a Cub Cadet nut and it really fires me up.
I have a different idea. I picked one up today off FB marketplace for cheap. It will sit on the bed floor on the driver's side. This fits like it was made for the Maverick. The front will bolt to the holes in the wheelwell arch made for the 2x6.
Not sure where I will attach it at the rear yet...
I need some storage space in the bed. It became evident when we were out of town with the inlaws and shopping. I've been looking at the size of the side rail toolboxes and it looks like they may sit on the bed floor and be below bedrail height sitting on top of or over the wheelwell arches. The...
My wife had someone flag her down at a stoplight asking what it was. She said he had never seen one. He said
"OMG, it's like a car with a truck bed on it!" :D
Yep, changed a flat the first few days we had it a few miles from the house. The jack worked fine but the split plastic end on the end of the lowering cable was a pain to get back in place after putting the tire back up in there.
2/10, would not bang recommend.
If the front piece has a lot of outward pressure--bowing out at the cab I would suggest following the heat and bend procedure I posted in my thread in this forum. They will pull the 2-sided tape off.
All the GDI engines are the bad ones. They overheat the top of the cylinders and end up with caking up oil deposits on the rings, the cylinder walls end up dry and score. Then oil burning. It is a dirty engine.
I saw a co-worker's Kia keys laying on her desk one day when I was dealing with mine...
I can't remember why but I read a bunch about Ford the corporation being upset that dealers were gouging on prices during the last few years. They wanted to uphold Henry Ford's vision of affordable cars for all. They discussed trying to initiate direct sales and eliminate dealerships all...
My username is one I've used for years on beer brewing forums. Urquell is from the beer Pilsner Urquell. I used to have a great version of the pic below but can't find it.
Sorry I allowed myself get roped into that show @Raymundo76
I don't usually mess around like that and have no plans to continue that on this forum. You have nothing to apologize for.
Once again I will repeat. All the issues I had with my Hyundai were directly experienced. You continually post problems with the Maverick you did not experience then tried to say you did.
No reason to continue conversing with you since you have nothing to offer except vitriol. Ignore list...
This is from your post. You had all these things happen to your Maverick?
"Ford wouldn't cover bad applied and peeling paint, a badly mounted passenger seat, rattles in the windshields and cracked windshields , misaligned body panels, engines cutting out in traffic on both engines, engines...
Looks like they put a bed on a Chevy Equinox. It reminds me of a cheap FWD car from the 90s or early 2000s but I can't place it yet. When they were sticking all kinds of plastic garbage on the side of them to make them look sporty.
I'm posting about what I have experienced firsthand and you are posting about what you read online. I haven't had problems with my Mav yet. I will post about them when I do. How many problems did you have with your Mav that you feel the need to hang around on a forum related to a vehicle you...
This one-thousanty.
Hyundai did not issue recalls on my vehicles until it ended up in court and they were forced by law to fix them.
All new production vehicles will have problems that need to be ironed out. It's how the corporation deals with these problems that defines the quality of that...
I wish you the best with your Hyundai but after dealing with my local dealer and knowing I have zero support from them as well as dealing with Hyundai corporation and watching how they only issued recalls well after millions of people had problems for over a decade I will not mess with them...
I was really shocked at how well the Mav does on trips and getting 27mpg. Super comfortable vehicle. I was surprised at it and feel it's the best deal available on a new vehicle. I really do love this thing.
If it is reliable I feel like there is no better value in a vehicle available on the...
I had a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe that was awesome. One warranty issue and it was a pain to deal with taking me 7 trips to the dealer to finally resolve.
As it aged I bought the wife a 2014 Tuscon. Total piece of junk putting on CELs weekly to monthly for the gas cap code.
The dealer could not fix...
Hey everyone, new guy here. I thought I'd post a thread on how to fix the problem of the drop-in liner pulling away at the cab so that it doesn't keep happening.
I installed the drop-in modular liner a couple months ago. I followed the directions and left sticking the 2-sided tape at the front...
