I live on 1.5 miles of maintained dirt road. They have cuts all over them and I had 3 flats in 3300 miles. Too soft and not adequate for me. Replaced with 108 Load range Nittos.
My wife drives this car and her being on the side of the road 3X in the last 2 months with flats was not good.
Before y'all think I'm driving on an unmaintained road I'll say I've been driving a 96 Miata on it with cheap BFG car tires on it with no cuts for 30,000 miles. My county really revamped it over the last year and it is not horrible like it had been in the past.
So my wife was taking the Mav in...
Mine are off at 3300 miles. 3 flats and rock cuts all over them. Check my thread in this forum. I'll update with pics and a vid. I can almost turn these tires inside out they are so soft.
I plugged it. Tiny rock cut as well as small cuts all over the tire. They couldn't patch it and the patch Ford did on the other one was no good either.
I'll post pics when I get home. These are the softest tires I've ever seen
The plastic cladding looks terrible. Overall that looks terrible. I don't like Subarus at all anyways but that has to be one of the worst I've seen. Not for me.
I wish I could keep them inflated long enough to wear them out. I am a cheapo dude and it kills me to take these off without wearing them out but I have to maintain marital harmony.
Plus it is a royal PITA to get up and go change a flat on a work day
I never intended for this to be a comparison to a tonneau.
I had to tread lightly on taking up bed space or covering the bed since this is my wife's car. She was adamant that the bed stay open for ease of hauling her kayak.
I consider myself lucky to have been able to add this box the way...
Thank you sir. I'm sure you have an awesome set up.
I'm gonna see if this holds everything I need it to before adding another.
After mowing 2 acres and brushhogging 4 more this weekend I have Fromunda cheese.
Ouch! Not that terrible here but I plan to spray catalyzed enamel and the bunny...
I love the Maverick but it is a replacement for my wife's SUV. As such we are missing the rear cargo area space especially when traveling with other people and shopping. I had an idea awhile back and had been searching for a bed box on FB Marketplace to mess around with knowing I wouldn't be out...
So after exhausting myself looking at tires I figured out I could go from a 225 to a 235 tire and get a 108 load range tire.
Went to Discount tire today and ordered the Nittos in a 108 load range and they price matched Wal-mart knocking a few bucks each off the tires. $161 vs $166/ea

My 2017 Tacoma had Hankook Dynapro 245/75-16s on it from the factory with 10/32" tread. I looked up the specs on them and the replacements(not OEM) have 13/32" of tread when new. I have since bought new Toyo Open Country and Firestone Destination Tacoma take-offs and all had 10/32" of tread...
