I have been using the DeeZee for a year and actually absolutely love it. I haven’t given it a second thought. I love that I can open the tailgate with full hands and step back. I don’t even notice that it falls a bit. In fact, I just had to go out and open it to see. I don’t even notice it...

I find it interesting that some say the DeeZee assist is smooth all the way. I bought that one and the tailgate assist does not kick in right away. I could have bought one for ten less. If I ever need to replace it, I will probably just go with the roughcountry brand.

I bought the DeeZee and it doesn't engage for about the first 10 inches either. If I need to replace it, I will probably try the roughcountry one.

That looks like a nice set up. I was thinking about the rack mount system, but for the price I went with the worksport aluminum Trifold top. It is not as nice, as your setup, but we weren't sure if we would need the rack setup. We will reevaluate at a later time. But I love what you have done...
