  1. Transmission shifting/acceleration/turbo lag complaints AWD EB List yours here!

2024 MY XLT AWD EB - Nov 2023 Build Date, Dec 2023 Purchase Date - The way I drive never lags or takes time because I usually brake hold my launches. I have put my Mav through the ringer with my driving and somehow it all still works. A lot of people talk about throttle delay, but the throttle...
  2. Can I get an all clear to have my 4 recalls done yet?

I've only done the first recall for hyper-flash with the turn signals. I'll wait a bit before doing the remaining three or so.
  3. AC Running without AC button pressed

I first noticed this on a 100 degree day. I had the AC turned off, had the temp set to 75 degrees and had all of the windows down. I put my hand in front of the vent and it was ice cold. If the temperature outside is higher than what you set it to, the AC will automatically run. Technically it...
  4. Transmission grenaded

Sorry to hear about your transmission. Personally, I have never changed transmission fluid in any vehicle I have owned before. I did it one time on a 1997 Plymouth Breeze when I was younger because a shop told me to do it. After I did it, the transmission was never the same and only lasted about...
  5. Sport mode: anyone figured out how to force the transmission into Top Gear reduce rpm like normal mode?

Sport mode is for driving around town or cruising local spots. It should never be used on the highway. It wears parts out faster. If you are driving on the highway, leave it in normal mode. Plus I heard someone say once that in normal mode on the highest gears, it actually disconnects the rear...
  6. New XLT Maverick w 2 liter eco boost, slight hesitation sometimes

My Maverick is my first ever turbocharged vehicle. As OP stated, when he first accelerates, there seems to be a delay in movement. I've noticed if you run in sport mode, there is less of a delay. And if you do what I do and pre-stage your launch with foot on brake and gas, there is barely any...
  7. Do not overfill or top off while filling gas tank

I never top off, but I will tell everyone, don't fill up with the engine running. The trip computer and fuel level will go funky for about a hundred miles or so.
  8. Reverse sound

The noise heard is usually only on the Hybrid models to alert nearby people that an electric (silent) vehicle is backing up. From what I understand, you cannot disable it or modify it
  9. Changing to AGM

Most vehicles with auto start stop technology come with AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries as standard. They hold up to constant starting and stopping. They also are not as affected by cold weather as standard lead acid batteries. Just thank God we don't have auxiliary batteries like a lot of...
  10. BPV delete kit - how to install?

Sorry for the delay in responding, family stuff. I will have to make a video and post it for everyone to see it. The way I did it was with my own parts and tools. It cost me about 3 dollars total for parts and I used the existing hose and clamps. I kept the rubber hose on the intake side and put...
  11. XLT Lariat LED Headlamps difference

I have a 24 XLT and the headlights are certainly LED, as I get flashed many times driving home from work every night
  12. Worst MPG from AWD 2.0 EcoBoost Owners?

I don't have a picture for right now, but currently I am averaging 19.4 MPG and that is much better than my 13 Explorer 3.5 NA
  13. Possible bad alignment?

2024 MY EcoBoost AWD XLT. I always drive with Auto S/S disabled, in normal mode, and have lane assist disabled completely. I have noticed lately that whenever I run over a bump in the road that is on the left side of the vehicle, it will actually hop a few inches to the left despite holding the...
  14. Dissapointing MPG for Hybrid at 85MPH

Wow. That is pretty good mileage at that kind of speed for a CVT transmission type, and with the AC on is pretty impressive. What people always seem to forget is that nobody buys a truck because it gets good gas mileage, but that kind of gas mileage on a truck is pretty amazing.
  15. Sport mode .... uggh

I've found that sport mode is great for sudden acceleration like driving like you stole it in and out of cars, and keeping the revs high on deceleration is great because it keeps the throttle response quick and cuts down on lag from the turbo when you go to hit the gas again.
  16. Traction control problem

Late butt in here, but even if you disable traction control and floor it and have constant wheelspin, stability system will automatically re-engage the traction control system and cut throttle
  17. 1,000 miles on the 24XLT Eco awd. Time to let her rip.

Yea, I had never bought a new vehicle before, so I learned about the break in period when I started making 0 to 60 videos at 200 miles. But I have over 1500 miles on it and it still runs great-ish
  18. 14 gallon tank in 2023, 16.5 gallon in 2024?

I have the 24 MY and it is supposed to be a 16.5 gallon tank, but I never let it drop below a quarter tank
  19. 24 2.0 ecoboost on it way.

I have a 24...It is not Flex Fuel capable. Nothing higher than E10 will work. That is the biggest difference from older models. The new computers in the 24 can throw a diagnostic error code when you connect a tuner or non-Ford scan tool into it
  20. BPV delete kit - how to install?

BPV Delete Homemade The above link is a video from my YT page of my own custom mod I did to the BPV system. I pulled off the wastegate end of the hose, inserted a Dorman expansion plug into the rubber side of the intake hose piece, put a clamp around it and it sounds great. I will post pictures...
