  1. Forum Purpose ?

I'm late to the party, but here's my 2cents. Social Media has turned our current and last couple generations into narcissists. By this I mean it's allowed us to have our own place to glorify ourselfs and say here we are come look at us. The expected result that is implied is people will...
  2. Parts for wrecked Maverick

At least the good news is that the new fender will actually have more then .00001mm of paint on it
  3. Has anyone downsized to a Maverick and finding the bed too small?

I had a 6ft ranger years ago, and coming into a maverick... it's fine, for me? I just angle 8-10ft boards from one corner to the other and ride the right or left edge of a lan if I need to. I have used the alternate position in the tailgate for some 10ft 2x4's and 2x6's, but they have a lot of...
  4. Making a DIY Strut Bar for the Ford Maverick

The holes you have drilled at the top, allow moisture and conensation in, but (forgive me if I'm wrong) I didn't see a drain hole on the bottom. Just something to think about?
  5. Tire Jack suggestions

I use my impact for our cars on the jack. When it comes to my Daytona I use a floor jack as I don’t trust pinch weld points on a 34 yr old car. just know depending on height desired and vehicle weight your impact will tap out at or before the tire is off the ground, but it sure speeds up the...
  6. That awkward cubbie next to the infotainment screen

I'm oldschool, I want a tape cassette player in the cubby
  7. Shutter in front of radiator

Yeah mine is on both upper and lower… I’m impressed on our cheaply trucks they thought to do this haha.
  8. Shutter in front of radiator

Interesting haha, I have never heard of that. Thanks for the answers, folks!
  9. Shutter in front of radiator

This is what comes to mind, that’s it’s like a shutter or vent closing mechanism, but am unsure if that’s the correct term. I have been driving my XLT for 7 months but just noticed this haha. What is this and does it open or close automatically? Never seen this before but is my first new...
  10. 3k miles, broke down

All the reasons and issues posted here, especially in the hybrids, are why I stayed with conventional gas engine. Sure they too can have issues, but so far I’ve not had a single issue with my XLT eco. I feel for everyone that is having bad experiences, truly.
  11. Love the Maverick but........

I have the rear slider and while my kiddo loves it, nope… zero impact on the whoop whoop whoop. Ihave to have rear windows down too.
  12. Trade-in experiences?

Not exactly, maybe, what te OP was looking for but... I was up front about not trading in my daily when I pre-ordered. They were okay with that. When it came time to pickup and finish paperwork the salesman asked for my keys to inspect my vehicle. I asked why, color me confused. It...
  13. Are my wipers binding or is this normal?

Yep, not normal. Mine are smooth action, and slowly tuck away when off. Not a single noise, clunk, or anything like what you have there.
  14. Saw a Maverick up close and it looks small

5' 11" and a lot of room to spare for me, you'll be fine.
  15. Maverick size, not manly?

Can care less about manly. It gets the job done and me from A to B at half the cost many others paid for a truck they’ll never use for its purpose. I can also keep paying my mortgage, too, lol.
  16. My truck is on the water

That nice saltwater ocean breeze does wonders for your brand new vehicle since we all k ow how great the paint coverage is on these vehicles. IF it is on ship, be very scrupulous when taking delivery, inspect gaps and places paint is hard to spray in. Miss a spot of rust now means replacing...
  17. Back cubby on door

I'd like to see aftermarket door panels or sections of panels to make these more useful. Maybe one that has FITS slots, or one that is simply open all the way across with slots for dividers to section the long cubby, etc. Being all plastic, no other material, there is room for SO MUCH...
  18. Higher gas prices vs. spending thousands of $$ on a new car

I'm late to the thread, but it's always been my approach that... A vehicle is not an investment, it's a liability that drops value every day. Unless a certain model classic, it's just silly to buy a vehicle because "it's fuel efficient and saves money going to work". True, a V8 hemi and a...
  19. Alarm activated (twice) and Ford Pass alert

I have gotten the alert twice but each time nothing out of the ordinary happened. I assumed buggy software was keeping something on causing a slow drain on the battery. It’s been a couple months since last occurrence so I haven’t the foggiest lol.
  20. High cost of gas [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I’m still satisfied greatly with my ecoboost. Everyone’s situation in life is different, thanks to world circumstances and our domestic policies creating a rise in gas cost I have just stopped my once a week eat outs and that covers the extra spent in gas every two weeks. At the end of the...
