When I ordered mine last September, my dealer told me that they had the most allocations in our area which was 36. Unfortunately, he said of those 36 orders 22 of them were carryovers from the previous year. I have no idea how many orders they actually took, but those odds arenāt in my favor.
Wonder if there are still orders from ā21 still unfulfilled. At any rate, I wonder if those who have existing orders that wonāt get built will get a higher priority for ā24 orders.
You would think that after two years Ford would be able to find a few batteries for their hybrids. Tesla doesnāt seem to have any trouble building hundreds of thousands of EVās. Maybe Ford could borrow a few batteries from them!
I try to drive this way even with an ICE but you have to be mindful of the traffic behind. You never know when a hothead that is behind you is running late and doesnāt care about your fuel efficiency.
Letās assume Ford can build all of the 41k that are still to be built. What happens if my dealer doesnāt have the allocations? Will Ford allow them more allocations or am I SOL?
Is this the last schedule before the order banks open (potentially) in July? In other words, those of us who did not scheduled will have to order a 24?
If Iām not mistaken I think the Bronco and Maverick came out in the same year. They are both produced in the same plant but yet I see Broncoās a lot but very seldom a Maverick. Ford probably makes more $$$$ on the Bronco so itās not surprising.
Is it safe to assume those built after 5/18 are good? Also, safe to assume those that have yet to be built are okay? I also wonder if they have stopped production which will push orders even further back.
I provided my drivers license again(did back in September also). My order was already COVPād back in September.
The order banks are long closed so not sure why I got another email. Weird.
So I get a call from my dealer for the first time since I ordered last September (I have contacted them on several occasions but never the other way around)and one of the salespeople tells me that Ford is trying to weed out the customers that no longer want their order. I am already aware of...
The priority code makes sense. But this makes me wonder if you have dealership āAā who has more orders than allocations and dealership āBā who has all their orders filled. Will dealership āBā get to order stock units before Ford would allow more allocations for dealership āAā for customer orders?
