For me, my time is more valuable than the effort it takes to go drop my truck at the dealer for service. Otherwise I am making one trip to the parts store for supplies, another for waste disposal and having to get my own hands dirty. I am not and never will be a "take it only to the dealer guy"...
This combination actually looks really good! And I don't get the interior disappointment. WAY WAY too many cars have all black interiors and it is so boring. I love that Ford is being a little creative with these and making them a multi tone interior.
Translated, they will not look good on the Mav. Or, you can get a wheel spacer to make the offset look correct. Also will depend heavily on tire choice. Something SO many people get wrong is just choosing a wheel and throwing it on, and for quality looks it just isn't that simple
I have the new Fox one and it fits perfectly. It has a velcro insert that allows having bikes all the way across and it won't hurt the logo, handle, paint. But can be removed to allow open access to the handle and also allows for camera use. The pad needs to be the right position otherwise it...
This kind of reply is baffling to me as a service advisor, and a consumer. Same with the post above that said "I'm sure Ford documented that I have a lift" READ YOUR REPAIR ORDERS. Everything is documented there, and no where else, unless they created a technical case with Ford seeking...
Nothing "needs" running boards. This is like many things. It is mostly an aesthetic, and some like or love them and some don't. this truck sits very low, even if lifted. So to me they are not only pointless but ugly. But I have seen others indicate that they would love them on their own trucks.
Many build threads on audio stuff. I just recently add a Focal component set to my front, added a JL 5 channel amp, and had a custom box built for under the back seat with a JL 10" sub as well. Not a lot to show in pics, but I will likely post some this weekend.
It is quite possible that you are misunderstanding what the dealer is referring to. I forget with Ford. But it is possible that lacking a tech properly trained on a hybrid prevents them from doing warranty work on that type of car. The Mav is no technological marvel, but it is likely more...
This isn't a fix. They are not talking about wiper noise. These have a tick/squeak primarily when cold that seems to be from the glass itself. Likely how it is seated in the frame and sealed. Others saying that their's went away after glass replacement indicates it is because it either wasn't...
This is a tough situation to be in. Many Ford dealers do not provide loaners at all anymore. But, even when they do, I have never worked at one that had the ability to provide any kind of handicap equipped vehicle. The best I have been able to do is to provide Lyft or Uber to my clients to get...
80-85 mph is WAY above where the EPA tests these. And depending on what kind of crap you hang off the back of your vehicle you are also adding considerable drag. Good luck getting good mileage doing that.
